Hello,
I am trapped in pdl, and I am going to close the current bank account where they the payments are coming out of. Is this a good idea? I have paid back the interest and the amount of the loan.

I live in Wisconsin.
MTE-took out a $300 loan, paid back $525
Dollar Quick, took out a $250 loan, paid back $500
DFS, took out a $500 loan, paid back $575
500 Fast Cash, took out a $300 loan, paid back over $500.

Are these people going to come and prosecute me and wreck my credit? I mean, when I called 500 Fast Cash, they said that I still owe $130!

go to paydayloaninfo.org and get your state laws. No they are not going to prosecute you. You need to file complaints with your AG against these companies. They are loan sharking you! I have been there. I highly recommend closing your account and opening an ew one to gain financial control again. Then you need to send them letters revoking their right to debit your account and revoking any voluntary wage assignment you may have signed. They will threaten you with all kinds of things but non of them are true.

Leah is right about contacting the financial dept. I live in a state where there was also no limit to interest rates and such. But they may need to be licensed to lend in your state. That is where you can get them. If they aren't legally licensed to lend, they are breaking the law.

I went through the same thing with my state, and my banking dept was very helpful, even called some of my pdl's on my behalf.

I don't understand how I can get a loan from them, if they are illegal in my state. Doesn't that mean that I broke the law then, too? Also, I am trying to work with CashCentral and they say because they are licesened in my state they can't break up my payments to make it more manageable for me.
