Your Attorney General of your state should be involved in this, as well as the banking commission. They can get your money back.

I had filed a complaint with his office regarding United Cash Loans and 500 Fast Cash, per his letter to me dated 1-8-2007 that he sent to me and both of those companies it stated I should be owed a refund and these companies should not be doing business without a Supervised Lender License. I have filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my State's Attorney General. They claim that the are not doing business illegally. They did not respond to his letter. So what are the necessary steps to get a refund of all monies that I have ever paid to them?? who is the banking commission?? I live in Illinois these companies are in Oklahoma

The Dept of Banking and Insurance used to be the watchdog for the federal govt. over the national banking industry. It is now the Office of the Controller of Currency or OCC as it is usually referred. I don't think that they interested in PDLs however. I think your putting fear into the companies by the FTC and the AG in their state is your best bet. Also you can look into www.ic3.gov That is for internet complaints and is linked to the FBI and other bureaus. There are many people on these threads who have been successful. You should be hearing from them.

PS-if you do succeed in getting a refund..DO NOT CASH THEIR CHECK AT YOUR BANK! Take it to a liquor store and pay that little fee to get the money...sometimes they send a refund thinking they are going to succeed in getting your new account info from the canceled check and then hit that account!

They aren't going to give refunds. These companies are blatantly illegal, but so far no U.S. Attorney has had the balls to indict them or their owners for violating the RICO act. It's time to organize a good class action suit against them.

I had a loan with United Cash and they were sneaky. I doubt very seriously if you will get a refund. I agree with Leah about taking the check to the bank. Sometimes it is better to just cut your losses and be done with them.
