Has anyone had any luck with getting refunds from either of these companies?? I have paid them in full plus alot extra and i have been hounding them for a refund and get nowhere..just wondering if there is any hope!!!

my attorney general is involved and i filed a complaint with James L. Snell State of Oklahoma
Department of Consumer Credit

I had filed a complaint with his office regarding United Cash Loans and 500 Fast Cash, per his letter to me dated 1-8-2007 that he sent to me and both of those companies it stated I should be owed a refund and these companies should not be doing business without a Supervised Lender License. I have filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my State's Attorney General. They claim that the are not doing business illegally. They did not respond to his letter. So what are the necessary steps to get a refund of all monies that I have ever paid to them?? who is the banking commission?? I live in Illinois these companies are in Oklahoma

The Dept of Banking and Insurance used to be the watchdog for the federal govt. over the national banking industry. It is now the Office of the Controller of Currency or OCC as it is usually referred. I don't think that they interested in PDLs however. I think your putting fear into the companies by the FTC and the AG in their state is your best bet. Also you can look into www.ic3.gov That is for internet complaints and is linked to the FBI and other bureaus. There are many people on these threads who have been successful. You should be hearing from them.

They will not refund you...I would settle for a pif letter from them
PS-if you do succeed in getting a refund..DO NOT CASH THEIR CHECK AT YOUR BANK! Take it to a liquor store and pay that little fee to get the money...sometimes they send a refund thinking they are going to succeed in getting your new account info from the canceled check and then hit that account!
