Most of these companies have NUMEROUS dba's. And sadly, you will probably have to close that account and open a new one....I ran into the same problem as you and that was my only recourse

I just read on their website on the very first page under terms and conditions which states, "Loan Approvals are cintingent upon proper receipt and verification of signed application, pay stub, and bank statement." None of which I faxed to them. Now I have to try and close my account and see if by chance my employeer will cut me a paper check because I know I can't get it closed and open a new one in time for them at work to be able to deposit into a new account. Dang, this really peeves me off!

Wow, if they are handing out money I will give them my address. What a lousy way to do business. You wuld think they would need more verification before just wiring the money.
Good luck closing the account and setting up a new one!

Anyway you can put an ACH block on your account? That might be another way to get around it. Also, on their website do they give an address? I might even just send a money order to them certified mail to end the madness, if you know what I mean...

The address on the website is the same one that the BBB tried sending them the complaints that were filed about them and the mail came back return to sender not able to deliever. So they weren't even physically located where they said they were.

If you have direct deposit for your paycheck it is setup ahead of time to verify the account before being transferred to it. What you can do is just close the account right away. When your payday comes up and the funds try to go to the account it will be rejected and then you will automatically be cut a paper check. I also suggest that if you're going to open a new account that you do it somewhere else so that nothing can be taken out of your new account. Some companies can work some fraudulent magic in order to get to your new account if at the same bank. They could say that you authorized them to withdraw the money out of your account and that they need to transfer this authorization to the new account.

I'm already too late to get my payroll dept to do anything. And if I close my account then when my automatic deposit tries to come through later next week then it will just force that account back open and then they can go ahead and take the money from me then.

Think the best thing to do for now would be just go to the bank and see what they tell me are my best options and I'll decide from there.

Sorry that you're having so many problems with that. It's unfortunate that your bank has that type of policy. I was lucky enough that the bank that I was previously dealing with didn't have that kind of policy.
