You have a case of files merging. Please write them a letter including copies of your social security card, your drivers license,& a current utility bill to prove residence. You will explain that you cannot access your file and it must be fixed as you have already suffered actual countable damages because of your credit denial.Send this letter certified return receipt to their Fraud department.

You are correct in most cases. However in the case of files merging together,it is best to write and include id information because they will have to go in their master database and reconstruct the credit report from scratch.
part 2
As I said in my opening question, I sent them all the information including copies of the credit report I recieved from the loan agency, my drivers license, and social security card. I recieved the one phone call. They refused to leave a number I could contact them at and never called back as they said they would. At this point, not knowing what's going on what should I do? Should I send them the information all over again with a new letter Explaining as I have here and pray they call again? This feels really frustrating. I'm afraid to send them the same information again and cause a conflict which could take more time. Help!?!?

I took your advice
I called the number and as ususal all I'm getting is computers. If anyone has the direct phone number to speak to a Equifax representative (it is supposed to be on the top of the credit report that I can't order because of this mess) I would greatly appreciate it. And to cajunbulldog, Thank you so much for your advice and efforts!
