Well, I had 15 calls from them at work yesterday, before I even got to work. My coworker, who knows what's going on, kept hanging up on them and telling them I no longer worked there. By the time I got to work, she was fed up and it was only 9 a.m.! I answered and spoke to a barely English speaking man by the name of Andy Martin, who told me to call him after work so i could give him my new checking account info. I called after work and proceeded to tell Andy Martin that I do not owe GFS any more money, that I've already legally paid off my loan and Florida doesnt allow rollovers, etc. etc...he laughed and said I had only paid back the extension/interest fees. I was on the phone for almost 45 minutes, while he informed me my balance on my $200 loan (in which I have paid off plus some) is now at $450, but if I call back tomorrow with my new bank account #, he will give me a discount and debit $100 from my account on Friday and mark my account PIF. Me, being desperate to get them off my back & thinking $100 was a small price to pay, called him back a few minutes ago. A man with an european accent picked up and answered casually "Hell- o ?" I asked for Andy Martin and he gave me a round-a-bout that andy wasn't working tonite and then I told him the deal Andy gave me, that if I called back with my new info, I could pay off my loan for $100 and they'd stop harassing me. Get this - This guy then said, "Mam, are you listening to me? I wouldnt do that mam.. go to ripoffreport.com and search for hbs, and read me what it says. He had me read this whole thing , i think it was the fourth post down about HBS, GFS, etc., and said not to give my bank info to any internet companies. He said money gram is the only way to go, and if Andy Martin argued with me, then to read what that website said, and read him the moneygram address. Strange. He was actually turning on the company he works for! Or was he??

I called back and asked for Andy Martin. Andy just happened to be there and I proceeded to tell him I did not have another checking account and would have to pay the $100 thru moneygram. He said he could only do the $100 deal thru ACH, and if I paid with moneygram, I'd now owe $350!! I said there's no way I was going to give him any account info b/c i didnt have one (i do, but no way in hell I'll give it out again). I told him I'd send them 350 on moneygram on friday if theyll stop calling me. he then discounted it to 300, and said if i didnt fax the money gram receipt by midnight on friday, the harassing calls would be reactivated at work and resume on saturday. He gave me the moneygram info and we hung up.

A few minutes later, the first guy I spoke with calls back. He asked me if I spoke to Andy and asked what he said. I told him he wants me to pay 350 now and that i told him id pay it but I was only sending 100. This guy (never gave me his name) turns around and tells me he doesnt want me paying $200 more and I should just go ahead and call andy back and give him my account # and tell him i made a mistake and i want $100 debited to close my account. He said he'd keep an eye on my account to make sure no more is debited.

WTF? GFS is so screwed up, I dont know what to do. I think they are just f'ing with my head. Andy Martin is probably the same guy who told me to look at ripoffreport.com

What should I do? - jennyr

This is such a hard position to be in. I know you want these people to stop calling your work- and you can do that by a couple of things- file a C&D. When they call again- tell them you are recording the conversation- and really do that- record everything. Ask did you receive my C&D Letter? They will always so no- and then tell them well I am informing you now of - then rattle off your state laws about calling- and then inform then that you are going to be filing a suit/complaint with them immediatly after getting off the phone with them for continuing to harass you at work. After you do this- ask them if their office still stands for allowing you to pay $100 and mark your account PIF. If they say yes- send in your payment. They can't mandate how you send that payment.

DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT INFORMATION! NOT FOR ANY REASON! You had to close your account one time to get these places to stop- they will just do it again. Pay them only waht you owe- and file a complaint with your state. It takes time- but it is worth it in the end.

An end is insight- you will get through this crap. Just really stick to your gut feeling. Good luck!
Nicole

If you have paid them the amount of the loan and any interest fees that are ALLOWED by your state, DO NOT under any circumstances pay them any more money or give them your banking info! File a complaint with the AG of your state, the FTC and Homeland Security -(go tto the ICE link, they are investigating cyber crimes), then tell these crooks that you have reported them and to stop calling you.

You might also tell them that you have reported them to Scotland Yard seeing they are calling you from the UK. After that do not even talk to these people. Just hang up or hold a phone key down in their ear. Eventually when they see there wasting their time thet will go away. They work on commission I am sure. They can do nothing to make you pay. NOTHING! They are an illegal unlicensed money laundering operation. Anything you pay them is being used for God knows what!

I agree...do not pay them anything else and do make sure you report them. Just turn the tables on them and when they call, don't let them get to you. maybe start sending them emails and letters via USPS demanding your account marked PIF. Eventually they will get tired of messing with you. And like what has already been said, do not give them your new account information under any circumstances!

I know it is very annoying when the call 15 times or more in a day but please please please quit having phone conversations with these guys. Your 45 minute chat just gives them hope that they can sucker more money out of you so they continue to call and harass. This company can do NOTHING to get your money other than harass you on the phone. They can not sue, file on your credit report, file a police report or any other excuse they come up with to get you to pay. Do not give them your account info EVER. I told my friend to answer one time only in this manner and not to speak to them again. Do not let them speak or speak over them and say ???????Your company is a scam and is operating illegally in the United States. I will not pay you ever.??????? After that I instructed my friend to simply hang up with no more conversation. My friend received about 30 phone calls in about an hour and then they gave up. A few days later some more calls came in but it has been a couple months since that happened.

If you decide to pay them anything then use a money order. I would pay them no more than 200 to settle the account in full. I would demand that the send something in writing prior to paying that said a payment for 200 if received by such and such date via money order would settle the account paid in full. Keep the letter they send and the money order receipt forever. By the way if you settle with any paid day loan or credit card company you should get this same document. This is not asking for anything out of the ordinary. Keep in mind that these guys are running a scam so it is very likely that you will have a hard time getting them to do this and if they do it will still mean nothing to them. They may very likely call you again for more money at some later date.

Thank you everyone. I will no longer give them the time of day, as one of their reps (the one that gave me the ripoff.com website) even told me I had already paid off the loan. I'm printing out everyone's responses so I can use it as a "guide" I really appreciate it & I'll let you know what happens.

Hey!! Wazzaupp!!

I work for this company here in Dominican Republic, so basically they have 2 locations, London and DR. so far

Every time you speak to someone who can barely speak english, normally, is some indian guy in London.

But they are closing down here in DR. The last day of operations will be June 30th. So, if you need some help just let me know before that and I'll be more than happy to help you.

Their leaving DR because they want "slaves" not employees.

It????s a double ripoff. Employees - Customers.

Do not waste your time saying that you'll call an attorney, police, etc. those gangsters will laugh on you, saying that you can call the Army if you want.

Here you have DR ph
829-257-5545
829-257-5538
so you can call directly.
When you call, please ask for Lennan Mathews, J.P. Jimenez or Francisco, I'm completely sure they will help you. And I also want to see their faces when you call...

HMM that is very informative, thank you. But one more place that I would complain to is the finance office in London England. I know that there was an article posted here somewhere from an English newpaper that said that the UK is investigating these pdls for their illegal tactics. I figure that the more complaints that are filed the better. I will try to find the link and post it when I do.

Anthony the ICE department will also investigate as they are looking into cyber crimes. According to what I have read it takes them longer to investigate, but they do take complaints very seriously. The way that I figure it is complain to any government agency that you think can possibly help. The more conplaints that are filed the more negative attention the pdls will receive and mybe these places will be shut down.

Well, I didnt call back, I'm not paying them one more dime. Havent received any calls today, at work or on my cell, I'm sure they will start soon but I am ignoring them. Good luck to all that are dealing with these weirdos!

I have worked in all the departments of heathmill.. for almost 2 years.Thereice are 5 campaigns GFS(global financial services),ICL(intrim cash ltd),Cash today ltd,Route 66 funding and Big brother. The most famous and revenue generating campaigns are GFS and Route 66 funding.
Now the Departments:-

Sales
Customer service&confirmations
Quality Assurance
Verification--Approval
Collections

Sales:--
Most of the people working in sales are Blacks and indians

How to fool these people:--

They will be asking set of questions:
say yes to everything.

Points to remember:--

1.Never give your office land number.
2.Give your home landline number as office number.
3.Never give your cell phone number as work landline number.
4.Say you have a direct deposit and get paid weekly or biweekly.

here the sales people part finishes.

NOW COMES THE VERIFICATION SECTION

Most of them are indians, blacks and pakisthanis

How to fool the verification guys:--

Points to remember:

1.Always be good to these guys as they are the key people to send you the loan.
2.Always answer with company name.
3.If you didnot answer with the company name...then dont worry...they will ask you once again abt your company name...tell them that
4.They might ask you to pass it on to your colleague
who could confirm that you work there. So keep some one ready.

NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR WORK LANDLINE NUMBER

Now the verification dept work finishes

Take your 200$...and enjoy.

NOW comes the Collection dept after 15 days when you default the 200$ payment.

Most of collection dept people are indians, pakisthanis, and blacks

How to fool the collection dept:--

1. Never give your work landline number ..instead give a home landline number during the loan sale.
2.Thats it and change your landline number by taking 200$ from all the 5 campaigns.
try to take the loans in all campaigns in a week time so that you can have 1000$ from all campaigns.

3.If you have mistakenly given your work landline number....tell your collegues that you have been fired due to excessive number of calls you were receiving.Thats it

If they reach you on your cell number ...never lift a private number or unknown number...or call from UK.

IF you need any other help please do leave a feedback...and refer me as Mogambo ion the forum.
