Ang is right. These are illegal threats and this collector should be reported. Was this for a payday loan?

If you have the name of the collection agency and the collectors name, I would report them for threatening you.

Sorry, didn't get to finish what I was going to say...anyway, do report them if you. They cannot threaten to have you arrested and will not have you arrested. If they were going to do anything, they would possible try to get a judgement against you, but that takes some time and they have to go through procedures to do that. Just from what you said about them wanting the loan paid in full, I feel like you are talking about a payday loan. Please let us know what kind of debt this is, as Ang said, so we can help you a bit more.

I'm not telling you what to do but these out-of-state inernet pay day lenders don't have a leg to to stand on (assuming that's what all your loans are). So if you wanted, you could ignore their calls, and just walk away from your loans and the worst they could do was report it on your credit report.
