This is the message I received today:
After speaking with my manager, it has been decided to cease collections and recommend your account to be included in our upcoming debt sale. Good luck in your negotiations with that legal entity.

This is my response:
Lisa:
problem is none of you are licensed. I am not worried about predatory lenders or collection agencies, especially in New York State. Good luck in dealing with the NYS Attorney General. I tried.
Thanks

So they are telling you that they are going to sell your account in their "debt sale" . . . . Funny . . . .
Is this Payday Yes or Payday Loan Yes?

Is that like a yard sale where they put a sign outside their office? I have had collectors buy my illegal PDL loans. When they realize how much about them were illegal they will not even attempt to validate the debt. They have there own legal issues without dragging someone elses in.

I love that mental image, Frogpatch - a debt yard sale! I could put a sign up in my front yard and rake in the cash! LOL

These people continue to amaze me with how they say things and what they try to do to get someone to pay something. "Well now we are going to sale your illegal debt to us to a possible illegal/preditor debt collector". These guys are too much!
PayDay Yes
Hi,
I received a call about a week ago from H & P Capital who said that they were sold my outstanding debt from PayDay Yes (PDY). They told me all sorts of scary things including that something would be filed against me in the county that I live in. When I asked them what that meant they told me to speak to my attorney. I have dealt with creditors before, but never anyone who has threatened such scary stuff. I ended up making a "good faith" payment to them of $100 because I was scared to death. I'm supposed to call back by the 19th of this month and wire money to them via money gram "to prevent further action". They kept saying that this was a courtesy call because I had never been in this type of trouble before. I live in New York State. Is this legal? Should I send them the remainder of the money I owe or should I ignore them and I file a complaint? Suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks.

If you live in N. Y. payday loans are illegal, and so is Payday
If you live in N. Y. payday loans are illegal, and so is Payday Yes ILLEGAL, they are NOT licensed to lend anywhere in the U.S. If it were me, I would tell them to go piss up a rope and sue me, because basically, they can't and won't, they are making threats that they can't follow through on, and they know this.
Shazzers is right and there was just a thread about H&P Capital.

Wow
It amazes me how many hypocrites there are out there. Someone loans you $ you pay them back, I have paid off 4 different payday loans and a title loan, granted the fees are high but paying those fees and partial payments now so that I could have the medical needs met to relieve the pain off my loved ones who have now passed is something that cannot be priced and to call these companies a ripoff is not always correct we had no one to turn to so yes we had to go to a lender obviously we don't have good credit thats why we have to take these loans with such high fees, you must take responsibilty for yourself (your own actions) before you can try to fault someone else. My conscious is clear and there is no better thing than to feel accomplished when you do what you know is right. If you take the $ and don't pay it back whos really ripping who off REALLY

Karma - This forum advocates paying illegal lenders back the principal amount borrowed. We do not condone borrowing money and not paying it back. We also strongly recommend paying legal lenders back and if at all possible making payment arrangements.

karma is a humanoid that must work for this most illegal pdl.most people who borrow from you get at leat twice the loan amount debited.when the borrower has to close the account you and your illegal pdl threaten everything under the sun.all of which you cannot do.i for one had a loan with your pdl and paid 700.00 on a 350.00 loan so my conscience is clean too.maybe if your pdl operated half legaly and had a clue your ramblings would resonate more than just being ramblings.
