Okay. I had a $300 pdl with this company. I did all the hooty-do stuff required - letters, revoking, filing complaints, etc. I got a letter shortly thereafter from them stating they were ready to go to arbitration. I fired them off an email which was not nice at all telling them pdl's are illegal in my state, blah, blah, and they spouted their usual "our state law vs your state law" deal to me. On and on. So, my last correspondence with them was July 19th. I had gone over AGAIN the state law, they are illegal, what the maximum amount they could charge was, that I had been trying to contact them since June 8; however, was completely ignored. I also told them that my account was closed and revoked their debit privilidge. Okay. I am now convinced they are stupid/deaf/ignorant/whatever. I haven't heard a word since my email to them on July 19. NOW today I get an email from them. And it's amazing me all the more. They state that I actually owe $530.00 because of "charges" from my debits being returned (duh, did they not read my letter from JUNE 8TH), but they are willing to "settle" for $415 for the loan, the refinance fees, and a returned fee. Ummm....did they not get it that I explained to them they can not charge those finance charges? Did they not get that I revoked their debit authorization on June 8th? Hello! Now, I'm thinking, yes, I filed complaints on them with the agencies. Do you think they're responding now because they've been contacted? Since they never responded back to me from July. However, I'm still at a loss for words because they are willing to "settle" yet it's still for what is against my state law! Are they thick or is it me? Someone give me advice here because I'm about ready to email Shaniqua a nasty email. Or re-send my last one from July stating EVERYTHING in it. Just need some input and advice. I think they're trying to drive me insane like MTE. Maybe they're cousins or something. LOL!

I just received this from our buddy Shaniqua....

"I have received a letter of concern from the Office of Attorney General regarding your Eastside Lenders account. I show that you have been an excellent customer and I want to see how I can help you. I show that there is a remaining balance of $337.50 and we will like to settle out your account for just the principal balance remaining of $150.00. Is this something we can agree on? Pleas feel free to reply or call me at 1-800-689-5603 ext 1302."

How does this sound??

Shaniqua,

Although I appreciate you trying to "help" me, I have already paid you the $300.00 that I originally borrowed PLUS and extra $162.50. You have not provided me with proof that you are even licensed to lend in your OWN state, much less the state of FLorida. I know for a fact that you are NOT licensed here and therefore, you lent money to me illegally. I have paid you more than what I owe you and in fact, I should be receiving a refund from YOU! As far as I am concerned, my business with you is finished. I want my account marked PIF or else I will continue my complaint against you company.

buble, did you tell shanique that cannr said "whassup"? Because shanique sent me an email also! LOL! I do believe shanique or tamika (watch out, volley!) just might visit this site and see what we say! Suddenly we are getting emails from shanique wanting to "help" us. All I'm going to say is, please "help" me by responding to my state AG, as they keep contecting Eastside Lenders and getting no response. Gosh, shanique, if you're reading this, "whassup?"

Bublefan, If you sign a confidentiality agreement with them do not post anything about them afterwards. A PDLs attorney who will go unnamed called me and told me to stop posting things about his client on the internet as I was in breach of the agreement. They watch this site. Fair warning!
With the FLDFS focusing on the Florida Consumer Finance Act as the law that requires licensing, more of these lenders are going to show up as CSOs. Please write to Alex Sink, the Florida CFO, and implore her to amend the laws regarding them and enforce those that are already in place. In Florida a CSO must offer a loan that is a better deal than that which is available to the general public. They don't and therefore should not qualify for CSO status.

Sounds to me like they updated your info & found your new bank account. At least that's what Nicole said she was going to do to me. The bank shouldn't be charging you anything..you didn't authorize them that ACH transaction so that would be considered fraudulant activity on your account. I'd call the bank back & tell them you didn't authorize that transaction.

Dispute that debit! You should not have to pay a charge to the bank! Go to the bank and tell them you did not authorize this transaction. They should reverse it as fraud. At least this is what they did in my situation. Sounds like EastSide Lenders has struck again.

I'm dealing with a Brandi from Centrinex.com, so far she's been willing to work with me, but I have yet to send any payments. And now, I just sent her an email asking for her to validate her affiliation with ESL so that I know my payments will be credited accordingly. I am shocked to hear that ESL is not licensed to do business in their own state! I think I will be sending the validation letter to see how they react, however I do not have an address for Centrinex, does anyone know their address or should I send it to the ESL DE address? What happens if I just do not pay this? If they are not licensed to do business, than the so called contract that was signed originally is bogus right?

I am dealing with Teri from centrex. Here's what she sent me:
Contact Number: Teri 800-689-5603

Money Gram Information:

Name, City, State: Centrinex, Overland Park, Kansas

Express Code: 4364
That's all the info I have right now. I notice that the address is not complete, but I would call for mailing address.

I think you are wise to see what connection they have to Eastside before sending $$$. I am going to send them $100 next week, but not until I check out their affiliation. Eastside wants $164 for 3 payments, but I told them I'm not paying anything over what I borrowed.

Yeah at first Brandi tried to get me to pay about $300 more than what the original loan plus fees, I refused and she agreed. I've been able to hold off making these payments for almost a month now. She told me she was with ESL and the home office was in DE. She did not explain to me why her email is a Centrinex email. She also supplied me with the money gram and western union info., same as you have. I asked her in my last email if ESL was licensed to do business in DE, as I heard they were not, and if they are licensed in my state, NV. I also told her that I read an email that ESL is not suppose to be doing business at all and that I wanted to make sure any payments I send will be credited correctly. If I could have paid this back when it was due, I would have however things have changed drastically for me and now I am skeptical of paying anything due to ESL not being licensed and not knowing really who this Centrinex company is. They want all payments sent via money gram or western union, nothing mailed. I think I may mail a money gram money order to either the DE address or the Centrinex address I found on the web. I have a different contact number than you do.

I would suggest paying back ONLY the amount you borrowed, in whatever amount you can afford in installments until the debt is repaid. I offered $100 a month until the $600 is repaid, and she responded that it was unacceptable because it dragged the loan out too long. I cannot afford to pay more or sooner right now. So I will send them what I offered and keep a paper trail.

How does one send a Western Union payment? Never did one in my life. They won't accept checks, and I'm afraid to use prepaid cards because there won't be a paper trail.

Because I don't have a physical mailing address for this centrix place. They only sent me a code number. I'm very hesitant about sending them anything. I'm thinking I should send money order/cashier's check to address on my "contract". That's where I sent the initial C&D and ACH Revoke letters. This is the only pdl that I have to repay. The others have been overpaid.
