If you can tell us what type of debt you have, we can put you in the right direction. If you haven't pulled all 3 of your credit reports, I would do so. You can get a free copy of each once a year. You can then see if there are errors on it you need to dispute, and also anything you may not be aware of. Pull your latest credit report from all the bureaus and review all the accounts listed there. You will come to know if there is any inaccurate item reported and dispute. Once you know the status of each account, call the creditor and put your payment proposals. You might get a lower pay off from them and clear the debts. It might take some time to completely fix your credit. Stick to the payment plan. You'll definitely see the results and your credit ratings will improve.
