Gayle- Here is a link that someone posted about them at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/collectionbureau.html Beware of anyone that treats you like that. Always get the settlement offer in writing before you send them anything-otherwise, they will deny they made the offer.
You say you have been trying for years, how many years, and when did this become deliquent?
What type of debt is this, pay day loan, credit cared? If you can give us more info, we can help you decide what to do- Good Luck..KAren :D

You don't want to pay on something that is close to or past statute of limitations for your state. Please list what kind of debt that you owe and the date of your last payment to them.
I would think that if this was a valid debt that you are willing to pay off they would be more than happy to accomodate you. Have you sent a debt validation letter? I would defintely do that if you don't have valid proof of the debt before paying them.

I am about to purchase a new home. First National just showed up on my credit report apparently transferred from another agency that was also a fraud. the Underwriter is saying that it has to be paid. I do not owe this company anything! the Credit bureaus cannot verify the debt but says I must contact them first. when I contact them I have to give my name, phone and address...then they will really hound me...house or no house...what do I do???
