I am currently going thru a divorce and my credit has gone down the drain. I plan to buy a condo inthe near future if i ever can with my terrible credit. I was not working while married and my bills added up now I am employed full time and would like to see if I have any chances of ever getting my condo? Need answers as to how long it will take or if i ever will be able to purchase a property?

If you could give us some idea as to what kind of bills you have. Don't need to have personal info about them just what kind you have.

I believe that cajunbulldog can help you. He is great with things like your credit report and stuff.

If you have a plan and stick to it you will be able to buy property. But it took you a while to get the bills you have so it will also take some time to get them taken care of.

Good luck and stick to a plan :D

Welcome to the Community :D Have you pulled up your credit reports from all 3 agencies? That is the first thing I would do.

You can look for errors and things that have been paid or owed, and start there.. There may be things that are ready to fall of your report or shouldn't be there.

There are some things that will stay on your report for 7 years, others you may be able to remove if they are incorrect.

It takes sme tome, but is well worth it in the end. Feel free to ask questions, we are her to help!!..KAren
