We do not care if you are suffering any hardship, have a life-altering event or have been abducted by aliens. You owe us this money and we expect you to remit in full by 12:00 am on 09/08/2007. If you do not comply we will be forced to call you at all hours of the day and night at home, at your place of employment, while you are in the bathroom or picking your nose. We will also have you arrested and then we will sue you once you get out of jail for three times the amount stated above. If all that fails, then maybe we will just come and break your legs. Not to be a "wet blanket" but the stated money owed in the letter (if it is fines or judgments,etc.) would probably not be protected under the fdcpa, being that it wouldn't be a consumer debt.
