Ok guys, I just had something going in my mind. I see different kinds of avatars in everyone's user account. How about finding those who haven't put an avatar yet and are regular on the board. With so many beautiful avatars, our community looks great. What do you think? :)

Let's call Bublefan1 to upload an avatar. Maybe we can upload a nice avatar if she needs help. :)

I know it is always fun to see everyone's avatars. I don't think I will be changing my too much right now. Couldn't tell I was proud of becoming and AIR FORCE Mom could you. Mine was acutally done for me on another forum I am a part of (locally), just wish I could have kept the sparkles showing, but when it was downsized for me as an avatar, it lost all the sparkle.

Kash, I do love the tongue sticking out!

Okay, how many of you (kash? and others?) can vouch for me that I have HOUNDED you to put an avatar up? LOL! I admit it, I hound people! I just think it's awesome because I can glance and see who posted just by looking at their avatar. I don't have to sit and read who posted what. Okay, maybe I'm lazy that way! But it makes everyone an "individual" and it distinguishes their posts. They all look fantastic! Now.... if anyone is not already a "fan" of mine, please feel free to do so. LOL! Told you I was a hound!

I had to ask Cannr and she kindly told me what to do. It took me three days to decide what to put. And I like mine alot but...I have several on standby in case I get bored. It is interesting to see everyone elses..and even more interesting after you have been on awhile and read the posts to see how they fit.

I don't know Cannr..My friend has two dauchsands (spelling? ) And they may be small but they are quite tenacious and they do not give up. Especially when they are "hunting" in the back yard. And at the same time they are very loveable and sweet. They also make their presence known, especially when they want something from her and they are very smart. I can see how your avatar would fit you. Besides if you were to ever change it I would be sooo confused.

Thanks, roxy! As a matter of fact, my doxies think they are holy terrors! They act like dobermans! I love the way their hair stands up on the back and they spit when they bark! The look scary, but they'll just lick you to death! Okay, I wouldn't ever change my avatar anyway. Everyone would be like "Where is cannr?" LOL! I'll have a cat or something on there. LOL!

Wow, Morning and Kash - well I have two..one is a dolphin in the ocean and the other is my son's zodiac sign..both on my back. The dolphin I got when I was youn, the zodiac I got about a month ago. I have been looking for the right thing for my son since he was born (he is 10 now). And you are only as old as you act and feel. And Cannr - could you imagine a maltese with it's hair standing up barking and growling at you....it is so funny when mine does it.

I love the portraits..but you have to really find someone who is good at them. My sister has one and it took her awhile to find the right person. I really like the girl who does them on A&E (I think) they are so beautiful. Kash - one of mine is about 4.5 inches in diameter. It is between my waist and tailbone. I had heard it would really hurt and it took me two years to get up the nerve. Turned out, it was not as bad as I thought. But it did hurt. I took tylenol before and during (It took two hours to do) and several breaks. My sister has 11 in various places. The one she said hurt the worst was on the top of her foot....so I guess it depends on where you decide to put your next one. I was really happy I finally did it... if it is something that mans alot to you..I say GO FOR IT!!

I have 2 cats-

Daisy and Duncan-

Daisy just had a litter of kittens- only 2

I was shocked.....she did get fixed..

Duncan- is getting bigger everyday...

I want my daisy to fatten up...she's so tiny....

I thought female cats were to get bigger after they had their surgery...

volley - yes, come to the pub and talk. It's fun! Someone else had to tell me about it also in the beginning! But it's a great place to talk to everyone!

goudah - I also am thinking of getting my little departed dachshund's face tatoo'd. I'm not sure about it though, because it'll never be as beautiful as she was so I might not be happy. Haven't decided yet. I might just get her name.

tatoo'd people - I've got three. One on my left (right?) shoulder blade of a rose. Got it when I turned 23. Hurt like a bit**. Two on my ankle. One of a pawprint in loving memory of my departed dachshund and the other right next to it is the chinese symbol for "love". This is my tribute to her. I still don't think it's enough. That baby was my life. So... I'm thinking of getting her name by the rose on my shoulder blade. It can be covered if I want it to be, or I can show it if I want to. The ones on my ankle didn't hurt a bit. And I heard stories about how they would hurt more than most places. Nope. Painless.

Cannr
I did hear that ankles hurt like a b***h. I am surprised that your didn't. You sure sound like you were devoted to your sweet dog . It hurts so much when they leave us. Everyone tells me to get another cat so zanzibar will have a playmate , but I am scared of getting so attached again

Kash - I am sorry about Ashley. I know that is tough. And yes that was the person I was talking about. I just could not fo the life of me remember. I could see the face. I wish I could get her to do my dad's portrait. And boney or fleshy, they both hurt....

Cannr - I love the paw print and the love symbol. That is a really special and unique tribute. I think the rose with the name is a nice touch. I wanted one on my ankle but was scared because I had heard it hurt worse that the back. My sister has a band and she said it did not hurt but then she has a high tolerence for pain. ME I am a whimp..So am I destroying that deb picture you have of me yet?

I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved pet. I have a cat that took off about 4 years ago, and I have no idea where he went. I hope that he is still alive, but unfortunately I doubt it. We moved out into the country and he was declawed so I am sure something got him. It makes me very sad because he was part maine coon and was a giant about 22 lbs or so...got him as a stray kitten that a trucker that worked with my dad picked him up and brought him into the docks. I loved him so much, I developed some pictures and he was in one laying on top of my car. It makes me want to start crying thinking about him.

Damn things you get so attached to them and they then break your heart when they die.

It is so true Lady,we get so attached to them. They do become a major part of our family, and the loss is really felt. Im sorry yours took off, I hope someone found him and is giving him a good life. I bet thats what happened.Did you get another. I am thinking about adopting another cat, but I am not sure I want to get attached again. It is a hard choice.

Yes I got another, his name is Mr. Wiggles, he is a registered seal point himilyian 8) . Very pretty, but he is so stuck up, and doesn't like to be held, I also got a registered Red persian that looks exactly like Garfield, she is very personable. She actually likes to be held but only on her terms.

I was going to breed her and Mr. Wiggles but I really don't think he knew what he was suppose to do and she got outside and got prego...and I kept her kitten who has turned into a 15 lb kitty. He is the one that I have had to take to the vet quite a bit for the last two months.

Since we can't have children, we have the four legged children. (LOL)

You will know when the time is right for another.
