I'm pretty much done now. The only one I have left is GFSIL and I already know Jenny and I will battle it out forever.
If it wasn't for this site and everybody's stories, advice and support, I would still be taking out loans to cover the other loans. Instead, now I'm keeping my paycheck for myself and I've gotten my life back in order.

GFSIL is still trying to get money out of my old account six months later. Every once in a while I get a form email or a call from the overseas crew. I just hang up.

Thanks, volley! :D I knew someone else was dealing with Eastside. You have "Tammy". We had "Shaniquia". Well, obviously Shaniquia likes ald and not me. LOL! Or we've ticked them off by asking them their name and license number they are operating under. LOL! So sorry, Tammy and Shaniquia! But, you know, I did tell them there would be no "negotiations" until they give me the full name and license number of the company that they are operating legally under. Hmmm..... you think that's why they didn't respond? :wink:

Cannr-I started my emails to her again last week and finalized it this morning. I pointed out that when I first took a loan with them, I was uneducated on the laws/rules/regulations with PDL's. I had read an article in the newspaper(or found a website :wink: )that opened my eyes. Therefore, due to my past overpayments on illegal rollover feesn I felt as though my debt was satisfied. We emailed back and forth for a few days and agreed that since I had paid $120 in fees, if I just paid $80 to pay back the principal we would call it even. DEAL!!!

Congrats ALD! I am dealing with Eastside as well and they actually owe ME money! I overpaid them by $162.00 and I have never heard anything back from them since I sent my letters.

I get so angry when I see all the money I've lost, I could scream. Ok, I have screamed. And thrown things. And kicked things. But you know what? I've learned to simplify my life and the strangest thing is, I now have a savings account. It's small and not much, but it's a start!

I'm in the process of filing my complaints w/the AG & sending out letters to these people. From what it looks like I've overpaid them by over 200.00! Hopefully I'll have the same outcome you did!

YIPPEE!!! I AM PAID IN FULL!!!! I guess I won't be getting my refund of $162.50. I am wondering if I should fight for it or just be glad it's over with! The "license letter" they sent me was one stating that "we are in Delaware, we follow Delaware law, blah, blah.,..." I asked for a copy of their LICENSE!! Which they can't provide because they DON'T HAVE ONE!!!!
