One might be 'working' for the other...I have a CA who is using another CA to collect ...if it is two seperate companies...then something here is a bit fishy and I would DV em both...well heck, DV em both anyway. 8)

I'm aware of Bud Hibbs and I appreciate the replies. I should have mentioned that Alliance One is the third CA I've dealt with on this debt. I've made a total of 22 payments on this debt among the three CA's. I've sent Alliance One two payments and now Brachfeld is attempting to collect.
I have an attorney working on this but he hasn't been able to locate any legal precedent that would allow for two entities to collect the same debt.

If you have an attorney just refer them to him. They are not allowed to contact you if you have an attorney. Let your attorney deal with it! Obviously you can only pay one of them.
