hey everybody, i just got a call from an attorney from a consumer rights place. they want to sue collections professional services on my behalf. they said from all the documents i sent them, and from the ca reporting to my credit without ever giving me debt validation, that i have a case against them. it almost sounds too good to be true. they said they have dealt with this before, and the agency does not like to risk going to court, so generally after the papers are filed, they call and offer an out of court settlement. i am getting ready to email them the info they asked for, which was nothing personal, just all the info i have on the ca, notifications they have sent me and so for. what do you think?

Yeah I would make sure that you have the right contact info from him before you send him anything. You just never know these days. If he gives you a telephone number to call him at make sure you try to call him at that number to make sure it's a legit place.

Call me paranoid but you never know these days.

i did a total research, he is a federal court attorney. everything matches, name, address and phone number. i am actually online reading some of the cases he has represented. i wasn't about to give out any info to anybody at this point in time without first checking them out. that is exactly what i had told him. the phone number he called me from is the phone number that matches all the info i have on him

i still haven't given him any info except for all of the different names that the ca is working under and all the addresses that i have for them. i have been so paranoid lately that i do not trust anyone. i also told him that. shoot, i got paranoid at work today when i thought my boss was looking at me strange. i do not like being in this state of mind. i hope it passes soon.

Karen, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being cautious and checking out everything thoroughly before you give out information. After everything it is difficult to trust people and you do become paranoid about giving out information. I am interested to see where this goes for you and hope it brings good things. Roxy

thanx roxy i filed a fair 1 claim towards this ca, and this is the attorney they assigned to the case. i have filed so many complaints over the past week, i lost track of who all i sent complaints to. i'm also curious to see where this goes. they told me not to send the ca any money (no need to worry about that b/c i spent that money at walmart yesterday, after discovering they reported to the credit bureau)they said i do not have to pay them any money, that if we win the case, the ca will have to pay any attorney fees, and to just continue to document everything like i have already been doing. so we'll see where this goes.

that would be nice, but honestly, the only thing i want is for that negative mark to come off of my credit. the attorney said they usually settle out of court for $1000.00 plus cover all attorney fees, but i don't care about any money, i just want them to leave me alone and to remove that negative mark on my credit. i dropped from a 650 to a 505 overnight. i don't even know how i got myself in this mess. i have 2 car loans, and numerous credit cards. i clearly could have gotten a legal loan, i don't know what the heck happened here!
