I am a foodie...I love talking about food, reading about food, watching it on TV and of course consuming food. About mid-day I start thinking of what I am going to have for dinner.

So tell us, whats for dinner tonight in your home?

Oh No you did't
Oh yes you did. You really did start a dinner thread.
You know already that my dinner tonight will be the last(hopfully) of that million pound chicken I roasted this Saturday. I have been eating that dumb bird for lunch and dinner since I took it out of the oven. I will be happy to see it go.Cluck Cluck

volleyballmom - we need to be pals! :-)

I'm a foodie myself, former restaurant cook (great story behind that one), and 3rd generation of a long line of cooks/bakers. My grandmother owned a restaurant in the U.P. of Michigan where she fed lumberjacks daily. I still cook some of her recipes.

We're doing something chicken-ish tonight as well - I took out some thigh quarters this morning to thaw, not sure what I'm doing with them yet, but I'll probably just bake them.

Chicken chicken chicken!!!! I am dreaming about chicken. It seems all I do these days is cook chicken , eat chicken, then buy more chicken. I need a 12 step program for chicken addicts.
Yum, baked thigh quarters. I did them last week. I actually baked mine in tomato sauce. very good.

we can all be friends

Good grief!! I am starving!

We are having chicken too-chicken and noodles!

There is a farm not far from here where a family of Amish live and they sell alot of food items. Their dried chicken stock is to die for, that's part of what I use to make the chicken and noodles-may add dumplings!

A friend of mine told me to get spicy Italian salad dressing and to marianate the chicken in that, I did, and it was really good and moist.

Gonna run in a sec and see what I can find to eat!!..KAren

I have to share this with my fellow "foodies", my dinner last night. I have been having quite a stressful week and really trying hard not to bring it home with me but evidently have failed. Well my middle bonus son who is 23 brought me home a treat last night..I could have killed him..it was a $7 candybar ( which he later informed he received for free from one of the stores he delivers to ). It was one of the special dark choclate caco reserve bars that are so pure it is close to bakers choclate. You can only consume these in small quantities and I only ate a small corener...and was so bad I hid it from the rest of the poeple in my house. I have to admit I did think of you all and your love for the sweets.

Any regular dark choclate would have been. That stuff is on the bitter side and is so easy to get sick off of. But it was sooo goooodd. I will be having chinese tonight...thanks to all of you. That was supposed to be last nights dinner by my youngest called on the way home (4:30) and he had a meeting at 5:00 so he went through a drive through and the others fended for themselves.
