I am a foodie...I love talking about food, reading about food, watching it on TV and of course consuming food. About mid-day I start thinking of what I am going to have for dinner.

So tell us, whats for dinner tonight in your home?

Sure Roxy...I don't mind sharing at all...and this is one I made up cause my daughter loves spinach.

In a deep fry pan saute 1 onion chopped, and several cloves of garlic...olive oil of course.
Add 2 tbls. butter, 4 cups of seasoned croutons, 1/4 to 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese..1 pkg. of cooked chopped spinach, 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth. Pinch of salt, pepper to taste, a little basil, stir and blend until it's all together. You may have to add more broth ...make as dry or moist as you like.

I also use this to stuff mushrooms and chicken breasts.

Thanks Moorning, I can not wait to try it. My son and I are the only ones who eat spinache but I will cook it for us. I also love mushrooms.

Lawn, my grandpa would stuff his own sausage and it was so good. My Grandma used to make pasta every Firday evening or Saturday morning. That is why I love it so much. Boxed is not the same but the memories are so great.

Dont' like pasta???? That's unAmerican! ha ha j/k Never met soemone who didn't like pasta but i can say i don't like tomato sauces too much either... It has to be cooked for a really long time. But weirdest thing is i LOVE tomatoes and ketchup is ok but just not anything that has a tomato sauce!
Strange, i know,

My oldest daughter won't eat spaghetti because of the sauce. The rest of us love it so when I make spaghetti I put butter and garlic on her noodles and she loves it. Unfortunately I don't have time to do homemade sauce so I use Ragu, but then just add some seasonings to that to perk the taste up.

This is really sad to admit guys but I never cook. I went through a phase a couple months ago where I did but in general, I don't. Unless it involves alfredo..........if something needs cooked, my husband usually does it. When we first got together I tried to cook because I wanted to show him what a good wife I would be, LOL, but he always ended up taking over so finally I said screw it and I don't bother anymore. It actually works out to my advantage, though because I don't like to cook much anyway.

LOL Sass!!

Okay here is my quick alfredo sauce..mind you the meausrements are eyeball so you may have to adjust a bit.

3 tbs flour, plus 1 tbs in reserve
1 stick of butter
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
(or you could do all cream or all milk)
1 1/5 shredded parmesan (if you have grated Kraft that is fine too)
salt and pepper to taste

Melt the butter on medium heat, add flour to the butter and stir to create a roux. add milk, cream and cheese. Continued to wisk over medium heat....cheese should start to melt and the sauce should start to thicken. If its too runny, add 1 tbs more flour with 1 tbs milk then add to the sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.

This seems to work well for me...sometimes I will add ore cheese too :D
