I am a foodie...I love talking about food, reading about food, watching it on TV and of course consuming food. About mid-day I start thinking of what I am going to have for dinner.

So tell us, whats for dinner tonight in your home?

It is really easy...pasta salad with spaghetti

1 lb spaghetti (I use thin - angel hair is too thin)
1 big bottle (32oz) italian dressing start with 1/2
let sit and add the ohter 1/2 before you serve it.
1 bottle McCormick salad supreme
1 carton grape/cherry tomatoes halved
1 small cucumber
1 bunch green onions.

You can add other things like olives, peppers, roasted peppers. Or you can leave out all the veggies. Do not use oil when cooking the spaghetti so it will absorb the flavors. It is a great alternative to the regular pasta salad. You can alter all the ingredients to your taste...hubby does not like as much of the salad supreme.

All you do is heat whole milk to 180 F then let it cool to 130 F. Add a teaspoon of plain yogurt, pour into a clean container and wrap in a towel and leave in a warm place over night. The next morning pour into a double cheesecloth or a fine strainer and let it drain for 12 hours in a bowl. Make sure that it is high enough above the bowl to drain off completely. You can use it like ricotta cheese or mix with fruit or for sauces like curry or as a topping. Mix it with shredded cucumber and it is called tzaziki, the sauce they use on lamb and gyros.

YUM!! There is a wonderful restaurant in Tarpon Springs, Fl..I can't remember the name of it, but it is this little hole-in-the wall. It's authentic Greek. before your dinner they give you warm bread with the best tzaziki ever! I love the stuff, I want to dip fries in it. Anyone got a recipe for me?

Thanks Frog!! Maybe you know the restaurant I'm talking about..Keep in mind it's been a few years since I've been there..You know where the deep-sea fishing charter boats are? It was across the road from that, just a little ways down. In the front window you can see slabs of meat hanging and a man in a dirty apron slicing from them!

Morning that is not plain. That is one of the peoples favorite in this house. They love these staeks they sell at our Kroger called flat iron steaks. They are so tender. And when hubby is not training ..meat can only go with potatoes. We had Mexican as usual...fajitas with steak, chicken, shrimp and ground pork...our fav at the restaurant we go to.

Sorry Ang...It is getting late. I remember now...Thrifty Nickle  I would love to go back there an spend more time. I really liked it and supprisingly so did hubby. He hates warm weather and beach sand but for some reason he was really drawn to the area.

Volley, I am going to look for that tomorrow.
