It's funny you should say that...I was thinking about that this morning...but it's still too warm....stew...soup...roasts...I am making myself hungry...

well for tonights bistro... LOL .. I found a package of Creamy Potato soup at the store today, so you just add like 6 cups of water and wwaaalllaaaa hearty potato soup.
I got some rolls, and I have some left over spiral ham to add to the soup.

what do you think ?

It sounds like a keeper to me. I am having left over meatballs and sausage in red sauce with a salad, and of course Ice Cream for dessert

that sounds good too... I thought of salad, but decided against it.
though Ice Cream can be subsituted...LOL

Both dishes sound good...but after sitting in the dr's office for 2 hours this afternoon...humf...I think I will just make a salad and be done. Besides...she mentioned my weight again...:( at my age it will take me a year to take off 40lbs....:(

Yeah!! That kind of ham salad! The kind I get in the store is so gross, I think they make it with bologna and call it "sandwich spread." We used to have a grocery store here that had awesome ham salad but they got bought out by Kroger. :(

I found this...

4 cups ground ham
1/2 ground onion
1/4 cup bread and butter pickles
Equal parts mayonnaise and dijon mustard to taste
Chopped celery, if desired

Mix together all the ingredients. Serve as a sandwich filling.


Personally I;'ve never had it but would be willing to try it out!! I like Ham so why not! :)

Sassy, do u know how to make chicken salad?? I'd think it would be made the same way... i've also never had ham salad but like volley i DO like ham and i LOVE chicken salad. I use boiled eggs in mine, pickles, mayo and mustard. I guess u may have to put the ham thru a food processor to get it that consistancy!

good, good, glad to hear it. They are giving out free flu shots at work, but I am scared to get one. I never had one before and I heard it can give you the flu.

It gives you flu like symptoms..sometimes. My son and I get them for asthma and we never have a reaction. Some people do, some don't. We get them at work too and I get one every year. I have never reacted (Now I will this year becuase I just jinxed myself)

I hear that a flu shot is going to a liquid in a cup or a nazal spray if not already. Maybe they have it at your place finsfan13.

i took a flu shot last year and it was the first time in years that i didn't come down with the flu. will take one again this week

I get mine next week too....with my asthma I hate getting anything...even this cold I have has bothered me too much..:(

My mom used to make a really good ham salad , she used a meat grinder, and ground up the ham,used mayo ( most likely miracle whip) I think some kind of relish but I don't know what else. but it was sooo good.

I need a food processor so I can make ham salad.....lorim, I bet it was Miracle Whip. I think Miracle Whip is awesome. I can't stand tuna fish with regular mayo, has to be Miracle Whip!

Ang- there's apretty good potat soup from Bear Creek, I believe-not as good as homemad, but still good. it comes in a package where you add the water-I add stuff to it, if I am creative-which doesn't happen often..Karen

yea when I was growing up we thought Miracle Whip was mayo!
and when I met my husband, I used to buy it thinking it was mayo. he hates it. . He pointed out one day the fine print "salad dressing"
I have been buying hellmans or Kraft Mayo ever since.

I LOVE those Tyson chicken strips.. but some times they are like almost 10 bucks a bag.. I get them when they are on sale like 6.99 2 bags...
