No, they absolutly do not notify you before they seize funds from your bank account.

It is a court order, so your signature is not needed at all.

You do have to be served with a summons before the step of siezing you bank account occurs, don't you? This is very scary and confusing. It's horrible how they can just take all of your money. Is is easy for companies to gain access to your accounts? I know that they have certain steps before they can get to it, but is it pretty much a last resort?

From all i have been learning about this, i can tell you that a court order is absolutely necessary for seizing bank accounts. It has to be done thru the courts. The collector must first obtain a judgement against you .

I am trying to figure out of the poster means he has already been served a summons and if he gets paperwork before the levy his account and the answer is no. You already went to court so you know. OR are you asking in order to go to court are you given paperwork (such as summons). :?:
