If you have closed a bank account, how can your bank still charge NSF fees?

katie...with some banks an account must be closed for 30-60 with NO ACTIVITY to actually be "locked". If anything tries to post during that time, the computer automatically opens the account again to the activity...like trying to post ach debits from a ipdl. Some banks do a betther job than others at blocking these. It really depends on the bank and the people you talk to there.

katie12 I was told by my bank that unless its done thru fed. or some type of gov. that is the only way they can reopen my acct. check with your bank and ask them that.

on the complaint form for the ag do i just copy them the letter isend to all the pdl. or just summary the letter.

Actually I've read nasty stuff about them! However, if they've been helpful with you up to this point, maybe they will be willing to work with you. Have you tried contacting them?

mrrl, did you let them know you're unable to make the payments that you set up? Maybe they can just extend the payment date out further for you. Just to give you a little time. Let us know how it goes.

wow i have 2 pdl's i over paid them i have closed my account and made a new one but my quistion is if they can issue a loan, thats illegal on there part cause your state laws then u shouldnt have to pay anything?
