Has anyone dealt with Urgent cash? I closed my checking account because I couldn't afford the fees anymore, I faxed them prior to the close of my account told them that my account was being closed and that I would have to make payments, they claim they never got the fax, anyway the payment was returned and not a Joe Long is calling me and I asked that he email the mailing address so I could make payments and this is what he said:
Ms. ,

When we spoke you said you would be paying the debt by money order on the 15th. You did not mention payments to me.

You may send the balance in 2 payments of $190.00 per payment, on your next 2 pay dates. I will not accept payments of other amounts or payment dates. Payments must be received within 3 business days of the due dates of October 15th and October 30th.

Failure to pay the debt in the manner outlined above will result in you file being transferred to our legal department for consideration of immediate action.

The ability to repay the funds should have been considered prior to application for and acceptance of funds.

Passing a check on a closed account is a crime and will be treated as such.

Joe

My question is, what legal action can they take? and what should i do? I don't have it in two payments.

I removed your last name from this post - Goudah

Joy, Take a deep breath. You have come to the right place for help. I am going to assume Urgent Cash is an internet pdl. Would you tell us what state you are in so we can look at your state laws and also tell us how much borrowed and the total of what you have paid them so far. Roxy

I'm sorry but what does this mean in layman terms? what are my options? what can they do to me? should I contact my attorney general?

I did post awhile back, so far urgent cash is the only ones being jerks, how do you find out if they are licensed anywhere? is there a website? I'm just freaking out right now I'm sorry!

Roxy is right...if your state allows ipdls to be legal as long as licensed in another state then they are legal. I would check first the wisc. law to see if roll overs are allowed there..if they are then you will have to make some type of arrangements with them. I have never dealt with this one so I'm not sure how they will react...but others faced with a similar situation have sent what they could...they more than likely will accept the payment.
