This is like the third agency to work this dept. They attached a judgment issued to my wife with the full sum of a Chase Manhattan card plus 25% attorney fees, (different attorney) and another 5% interest, from date of judgement. Does this new group have any rights to this? This was a city court ruling, that I don't believe my wife had any knowlege of. What can come of this and what should I do to help her? This is just one of many, since a run of bad luck and circumstances, that started just before hurricane Katrina. ANY HELP OR ADVISE WOULD BE a potential life saver. Thanks in advance!

Do I have to register, or something, to get any replies to this question? :?:

I just learned that we had this settled and paid, through our lawyer. These guys are trying to double dip. Do they have any way of knowing the original creditor has been paid, and thier "junk dept" is now worthless?

same horror story over and over! Some people on this sight insist that if you pay and keep records of payment all is well in credit and collection land--fact is--pay and keep paying years later--just my opinion! contact your lawyer? why?you already paid for them to follow the law why shouldn't debt collectors' have to do the same?
