Oh for heaven's sake. How ridiculous. I guess I would send a letter explaining exactly WHAT validation is. How stupid do they think you are? Go get 'em...I don't think you have a whole lot to worry about with this one.

fins, in the debt validation letter, it is very specific as to what I was requesting. This is not it. LOL! I don't think I have a lot to worry about in regards to them actually collecting, since they can't by law (sorry about their luck). But my concern is not letting them get away with sending this stupid print out and demanding payment in 2 days! Good Lord! Also, another concern is them hitting my credit report. I already had to fight with another collection agency in regards to that! Lord! Does it never end???

They do come up with some great names, don't they? I remember a year ago another member here was dealing with someone named "Carlos Santana" at a CA. Come on.

Well first of all if it is a illegal PDL then I really don't think a lawsuit would hold water in a court as they would be trying to collect on money that was earned illegally: "Your honor the I was acting as a fence for the defendant but he didn't pay me for the stolen goods so I am seeking compensation" it would hold just as much water. Also depending on the interest they are trying to charge it may also violate laws controlling predatory lending (as most IPDL's tend to fall under)

Well, if you sent him a DV and he hasn't responded with validation then I wouldn't worry about it unless they serve you or provide validation.

I would demand validation or a letter stating the debt is illegal and cannot be collected, reported,or sold ever! Contact your attorney general and get them involved in this dispute.

Thank you, cajun! I'm glad you're here! So, should I send a letter stating that what they sent me was NOT validation and also go on to say that this is an illegal debt and considered uncollectable in my state? This is from the DFI's mouth, so it is true. You think I should do that, cajun? Then, of course, file complaints against them?

I would draft a letter stating that you are aware that underlying debt is illegal and noncollectable. On the letter cc a copy to both your Dfi and your Attorney general.

cannr I received the exact same validation as you did from NCA a few days ago. The esignature printout page. However, they also sent a supposed copy of the original loan agreement. However, it was not the original loan agreement and had to be something the pdl or NCA made up, as it matched nothing relating to the loan.

Really, tali? This little "ESignature History" looks like something "generic" anyway. But I didn't even receive an original loan agreement with mine! Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone here. I do believe I will do as cajun says. I'm going to compose a letter stating that and cc it to the DFI and my state AG. Thank you to everyone.

That's what I am doing also. I have found with other CA's, when I told them that they were trying to collect on an illegal debt, I never heard from them again.
