Today was the day I officially defaulted on all my payday loans. I closed my bank on Monday only to be informed that any debits that come thru within 30 days could possible open the account back up. I ask about a hard block and was told it would take 10 buisness days to take effect. But, as of this morning my account was still closed. Today I had payments due w/ CashnetUSA for $725.00, PaydayOK for $50.00, and Check N Go installment loan payment of $300.00 due. None were paid today. So far I haven't heard a word from no one. No e-mails and no phone calls as of 5pm when I left for work.

cturner, thanks for posting! Watch your "closed" account. If they told you it could be "forced" open for 30 days and your "block" won't take effect for 10 days, make sure these don't hit tonight. Check your account in the morning to be sure nothing went through. I'm praying to goodness that your account is safe and will remain closed/blocked. I've just had the SHOCK of finding mine "forced" open when I did it and about had a heart attack on the morning I saw it! Just keep an eye on it and make sure every morning that it's not been "forced" back open. I'm only hoping for the best for you! :D

cturner, this is normal. Hang on. Don't panic yet. The majority of plds send out computer generated emails on your due dates saying "Gee, thanks for the payment" when in all actuality the debit was rejected. Sometimes it'll take them a week or two to catch on to the fact that they are not getting their money. Just look at your account in the morning. See if it's still closed. If it is, then these are just the usual computer generated emails.

Is there a limit on how many times they can debit your account? CashNetUSA has tried twice, once for apprx. $1,300, and a week later 2 debits of $650. (all bouced). Can they attempt a third debit? (Pennsylvania). Unfortunately, I had to choose between avoiding foreclosure or honoring the pdl.Much thanks for any advice.

CashNetUSA are vultures. They will try and try again and when they no longer have access to your account, they will call at least twice daily on as many phone numbers as possible to get ahold of you.

But as they seem to be licensed in all of the states they do business in, they're legal and such. You might be able to call them and ask them about payment arrangements.

joe, they're going to attempt to hit your account as many times as they like since they do have access if your account is open/active. They can keep trying to hit with ACH debits and then maybe even try to hit it with an electronic check. You're best bet, since they are licensed/legal, is to do something with your bank account so they can no longer hit it, contact CashNetUSA and make an alternative payment arrangment with them. Remember, CashNetUSA will be licensed/legal. But doing something with your bank account will at least prevent them from hitting it causing you a lot of money in NSF fees.

guest, are you asking in regards to a particular pdl? If you like, you can post which pdl you are inquiring about and we can see if they are licensed/legal for you.

Well, I got my first call today. CashNetUSA left a rather nasty message on my machine. They also called my work a few times. O well, I knew I would happen sooner or later. Wasn't really expecting them to be so nasty so soon though. I mean I was a "gold member" for Gods sake (lol). Paid them faithfully for a year and a half and they get this nasty over one missed payment.
