With 5 PDLs, huge student loans, & about to have my car repossessed, also with a bankruptcy only three years ago, where can I find help. I have dried up friends and family.

Firstly, I am on a vacation that I have had coming for the past two years from a Home Improvement Warehouse. So, yes, I am working.

Next, all my PDLs are store front. I could not get any Online versions; I tried three kinds and gave up.
Going through the consultation link during the registration process, its recommendation is Bankruptcy. But since I have already done that--three years have past since its discharge--I don't know what to do.

I live in Tucson, Arizona.

The only reason I got involved with PDLs in the first place was to save my car from repossession, but now thanks to my own stupidity I have evolved into "living" upon PDL after PDL.

And now I am very close to the point where the bank fees are almost taking away half+ of my direct deposited paycheck. And that is why I cannot make any payments to the PDLs, I barely squeeze out partial rent payments and food money. I even have $183 due for my electricity and I don't know if they will allow a smaller payment. I am hoping for the best.

Thanks for being here. I am trying to find something else to supplement my income, but being a delivery driver does not lend to having a consistent schedule.

Oh and on top of all this, I recently got a ticket for driving without valid tags and no proof of insurance. Which totals out to a $1200 ticket. I have car insurance now, through my employers payroll deduction but I don't know what I can do from here. The court date will be an interesting test of will.

I have already gone through a lot of emotional turmoil. Nothing like a few of the posts that I have seen--the son not helping the mom--but I am hurting all the same. I am in stubborn in most aspects of my life.
And when I make a promise, I want to my damnest to repay it.
To paraphrase a good quote: you can have all the material things in the world but without your Word, you have nothing.

ok...how about a debt management program?? With student loans...can you not apply for a hardship deferment?? Do you have a room mate?? Can you get one...to help share the expenses. How about moving home for a bit to get cleared up?? Looking for a better job...that pays more or has better hours so you can work a 2nd job?? I just throwing out ideas here in the hope maybe something will click and help find you some wiggle room here ...I know you can't file chapter 7 again...but I think you can file 13 4 yrs. after a 7.

debt management, including this communities, have failed me because I do not make enough to qualify.

Student loans are in deferment as I write this. (Having private and federal student loans really sucks, but that is another post for a different fourm.)

Roommates are out of the question. I wish it were not. Moving back in with the parents. ?!? They are in an apartment smaller than mine. Live with my mother again? Don't ask me to go any farther. ...........

Always looking for a better/2nd job. Another reason why I got back online.

Thank you for the support and ideas. I believe: "there is no such a thing as a stupid question, the dumbest question is the one not asked."

As for the bankruptcy thing again. I will entertain that, but w/o $$ very hard to start the paperwork. Even with DIY kits.

I'm sorry andrew...I am just trying to think of ideas to help. I am thinking maybe your best option would be to take 1 at a time and dump whatever you can into it every chance you get. Pay that one off and go to the next...it will be a long journey but has to be done. Someone once told me...with unsecured debt...take care of your immediate needs first. You have to have a place to live, food to eat etc. or you won't be able to do anything else to turn things around.

Andrew,
My heart goes out to you. Being in debt as I know so well is a rough, long road. I have often felt like it's a full-time job in itself.
But the advice you have been given here is correct. The first thing you absolutely must do is take care of immediate needs first. I understand you have PDL's as I and many people have had. But taking care of immediate needs means that these PDL's need to be defaulted on and payment plans worked out.
If you don't have a place to live, noone's getting paid, least of all them, right?
How do you default on them? You must either put a block on your bank account if possible or close it and get a new one, which realistically is what you will have to do.
Since your PDL's are storefronts, they are following your state laws, which is a good bet, so payment arrangements need to be worked out. Pay whatever you can--AFTER you pay rent, food, car, etc.
My concern is that if you let this go, things will snowball. If you don't have a car, you have no way of getting to work. If you have no job, you have no place to live. And it only gets worse.
You can't PDL anymore. It's killing you! Now the holiday season is approaching, which as you know, since you're in retail means that they are looking for seasonal employees. Poss second job for you? Just a thought. Good luck and I and others here really mean that! Let us know what's going on with you, OK? We are and have been there.

Andrew - I'm sorry things are not going well. But you can get yourself out of the pdl mess.

Have you defaulted on any of the loans yet? If not, check to see if any of them are CFSA members. CFSA members must offer an extended payment plan. But you can only qualify for it if you ask at least 1 day before your loan is due.
