On 9-16-2005 my cable was disabled from bright house plus my internet service.9-16-2005 I made a payment of the past due amount that was 240.45 but it was in a pinellas county location unaware that I had to make the payment in Hillsborough county I mean I thought that all the locations were the same that I could make the payment at any location. So when I called the location (Hillsborough)they said they did not see the payment posted to my account and that I neede to go back to the location that I made the payment at and get my money back and bring it to the Hillsborough county location. So when I went back up there to get my money back the pinellas conty location said that they have the payment I made in the computer system and that it shouldv'e posted to my account.Well the customer service was very rude to me and if they try to run a buisness they need to step it up a notch because seriously their customer service is rude!

My point is if you have cable with these people do not make it another location!Don't make the same mistake I did because it is too much hassle!

Humm so if you paid on line would it still not reflect? Im sure the servers don't happen to be in the apprprate counties. I see they have on line bill payment through their web site (thogh it wouldnt help much if your internet was disconnected.) By any measure, as long as you had a receipt from the pinellas county location, that should be all they need to restore service.

I had Brighthouse until a few months ago and I do have to admit the customer service is a bit rude. They were able to let me pay at any payment location no matter what county it is in. I would think if they are able to pull your information up in the computer, that it shouldn't be a problem where you paid it at.

Like Clay said, hold on to your receipt in case something does come up. That is your proof of payment.

Yeah they told me I couldn't pay it at another location I don't know for what reason they said that for they probaly just were trying to give me a hard time!I think they were just saying that because my account was past due and being that I payed on it they couldn't really do anything but I really have to admit they are not nice people to have in the county that I stay in they are very highly dishonorable to their word and incopetent!

Hi chmartinbaby06

Have you discussed this problem with a debt counselor? They are professionally trained to handle these types of stubborn situations arising with the creditors.

I also had similar problems with one of my creditors and the consultant directed me to the right path.
