Doesn't sprint offer hand set insurance? I know verizon does (its through a company called lock/line), for like $6.00/month. Some people say its not worth it,but Ihave used it three times already, allin all its saved me a bunch of halle and money.
Sprint does over insurance. I used to have sprint phone service.
Sprint does over insurance. I used to have sprint phone service. However, you have to pay 50 bucks before you receive your replacement phone (which is refurbished).

Yes and you have to go through so much hassle just to get a replacement phone! And now they have you send in your drivers license, billing summary, and an affidavit! Before you even get approved to get another phone thats what I had to do.

Sprint has always made customer "service" a hassle. thats why I dropped them. Verizon's insurance is a simple call, pay the deductable (yes $50) and a few days later you have a new phone (all three have been new phones, not reconditioned).

Verizon tried to pull some garbage with me awhile back. I got a phone with service ... then just before my yearly contract was up I got a second phone and wanted to add service to it for my [girlfriend at the time] and they said "she'll need to get her own plan because your contract is not up". They also wouldn't link our phones on a shared plan.
Whether it's replacement or simple service, I think a lot of companies have lost track of the phrase "customer service". That means you SERVICE the CUSTOMER. I know with my webhosting company that I will bend over backwards for a customer in the middle of the night if that is what they need. Because I'm providing a product that is backed by a promise (guarantee) I don't take that lightly.

Yes that is true cryptowizard,
Customer service is the key and that is something that sprint does not have I think they all need to go back and be retrained for customer service cause thats one thing that they need to work !

I have had phones with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile (voice Stream) and now Verizon. All of them have had their issues, though Verizon has given me the least headache of them all.
I originally got a phone for my step daughter in March 0f 2004. In July of 04 2004 my T-mobile Contract was up (though when I called to ask what date my contract was up, they chose to put it in as a renewal and try to charge a $200 early termination fee. I didnt know this till six months later when they turned it over to a collection agency, still fighting that one). Anyway in July 2004 I moved my wife and my numbers Verizon. They were willing to add all three on a shared plan with out any hassles at all. My wife and I are on a shared plan and my step daughter is on her own plan (so she doesnt eat through our minutes). She has 1000 minutes, but we tell her she only has 800 to give us a buffer to catcher if shes going over and temporaily take her phone till the new billing period starts.
I would be willing to pay $5 or $10 a month for Verizon to simply shut the phone off when she hits her limit till the billing period starts again.
I had heard ( nd even had a bad experience my self with verizon paging) with Verizon when they first merged all thouse companies together. But I think they have gotten alot of problems cleared up, and seem to have a decent idea of the meaning of customer service.
But you are right, the meaning of "customer Service" in modern business is forgotten except as a way to cut the pay of the people charge to provide it.
I recently switched the web hosting fort a web site I have for my union because the original host has TERRIBLE service, and they thikng they do nothing wrong. They even went so far as to allow someone else to sign up for a hosting package with my domain name after I moved the hosting away from them in the first place.

See my brother works for verizon and has a cell phone through them too and a couple of my friends have verizon and they haven't had too much issues with them,I rarely hear about verizon.I mainly hear about T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T.But Sprint is the baddest out of all because of the terrible customer service and the supervisors are rude too they even hang up the phone on you they just get under my skin like no other
