I finally got my replacement phone through sprint I know I made a topic before about them overcharging me!Well I got it resolved and have a new phone through them so now they can't over charge me for wireless web because I have a internet ready phone with internet access on it!But the only thing that sucks about this is that if something happens to this phone I am not able to get another phone for another 12 months. And this is my second replacement phone in a 12 month period so if something happens to this phone that I have to buy another phone at regular price I don't think so!I will use the loner phone if I have to, and my contract on this phone does not expire until may 2006 so I can't upgrade even if I wanted too!

Sprint really is a bad phone service if I had my choice to do it all over again I wouldv'e just went with another carrier and now I am trapped into this contract so I can't afford another deposit with another one even if I wanted too!the deposit cell phones want me to pay are so outreagous!

Verizon tried to pull some garbage with me awhile back. I got a phone with service ... then just before my yearly contract was up I got a second phone and wanted to add service to it for my [girlfriend at the time] and they said "she'll need to get her own plan because your contract is not up". They also wouldn't link our phones on a shared plan.

Whether it's replacement or simple service, I think a lot of companies have lost track of the phrase "customer service". That means you SERVICE the CUSTOMER. I know with my webhosting company that I will bend over backwards for a customer in the middle of the night if that is what they need. Because I'm providing a product that is backed by a promise (guarantee) I don't take that lightly.

I have had phones with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile (voice Stream) and now Verizon. All of them have had their issues, though Verizon has given me the least headache of them all.

I originally got a phone for my step daughter in March 0f 2004. In July of 04 2004 my T-mobile Contract was up (though when I called to ask what date my contract was up, they chose to put it in as a renewal and try to charge a $200 early termination fee. I didnt know this till six months later when they turned it over to a collection agency, still fighting that one). Anyway in July 2004 I moved my wife and my numbers Verizon. They were willing to add all three on a shared plan with out any hassles at all. My wife and I are on a shared plan and my step daughter is on her own plan (so she doesnt eat through our minutes). She has 1000 minutes, but we tell her she only has 800 to give us a buffer to catcher if shes going over and temporaily take her phone till the new billing period starts.

I would be willing to pay $5 or $10 a month for Verizon to simply shut the phone off when she hits her limit till the billing period starts again.

I had heard ( nd even had a bad experience my self with verizon paging) with Verizon when they first merged all thouse companies together. But I think they have gotten alot of problems cleared up, and seem to have a decent idea of the meaning of customer service.

But you are right, the meaning of "customer Service" in modern business is forgotten except as a way to cut the pay of the people charge to provide it.

I recently switched the web hosting fort a web site I have for my union because the original host has TERRIBLE service, and they thikng they do nothing wrong. They even went so far as to allow someone else to sign up for a hosting package with my domain name after I moved the hosting away from them in the first place.

See my brother works for verizon and has a cell phone through them too and a couple of my friends have verizon and they haven't had too much issues with them,I rarely hear about verizon.I mainly hear about T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T.But Sprint is the baddest out of all because of the terrible customer service and the supervisors are rude too they even hang up the phone on you they just get under my skin like no other
