Black Friday

Oh, I do SO entertain myself - with your help, of course! :lol:

I think swat would be really interesting. I read an article about a nurse (female) who was on the swat team, she was the medic. It was really interesting.

I am a brown in Akido..I studied all through high school and went back to it a few years ago for about a year and a half..I'd like to go back AGAIN, but no time.So, the closest thing I've ever had to a real fight were competition matches, and those are organized! We couldn't pull hair or scratch! :D

last year, i had money to shop on black friday, but this year i did not. now i do my best christmas shopping the day or two before christmas. i get up early in the morning and put on my walking shoes and have my list in hand and i shop until the stores close at 6. i end up getting the prices for the after xmas sales. and being a certified shopaholic, i get such a rush. :D

Granny, I love to shop on Christmas eve! It's a madhouse, almost worse that black Friday, but the deals are outstanding. I will be out once again on the 24th.

Well this country boy hates shopping and last time I checked my little town don't have any national stores.Although I didn't shop I was threatened on my rig this week by some clown. I told the supervisor that this hand could bring it on and be prepared for a vacation in the county jail! :lol: :lol:

I was at the store again just now..Things are just as crazy today as they were yesterday! You should see Best Buy!

Well I hate to shop....period. I love to buy things for people but do most of my gift shopping on the internet or small out of the way shops. Makes it hard because I have a daughter and a sister who are born shopaholics!!! And my best frien always needs to go up and down every isle in the grocery store even if there is nothing there she needs...me I need milk, I buy milk and I leave!!!

I also have taken a self defense course but alas have never knocked anyone to the ground or put out an eye.

I am thinking of taking up kickboxing. They are offering classes at the local gym. I like sparring becuase it relieves stress and I like using the bags to practice...It would be nice to do something different. I also want to enroll #4 son in martial arts classes....

Hell, I am now afraid of everyone! :shock: cajun is going to kick some butt, fins is going to kick some butt, roxy is going to kick some butt........ I think I had better sign up for some kind of classes to keep up! :lol:

I studied Akido for so many years because my HS cross country coach told us a martial art was a wonderful way to stay toned and strengthen endurance. I really think it helped me with my running, and I think my running helped me with Akido! I could never really take Akido TOO seriously, I focus daily on my running excercises and put most of my effort into that.

Huh.... maybe my "couch" exercises don't work very well? Reach for my iced tea, reach for a cigarette, push the button on the remote control........ Think I need a better plan???? :lol:

Oh, fins - I have to agree with roxy on that one! You know I love you and would do anything for you. But I couldn't put you through having to stop and pick my body up every 20 feet! :lol:

I can run in two situations,gun fire or well blowout.Otherwise,I am like the others you would have to tote me around. :lol: :lol:

Cajun..I do believe you job is more dangerous than mine :? And at this rate..I am too busy to be running around. :wink:

My job can be dangerous if idiots are allowed to be promoted. Thankfully our well site lead men all have tons of experience. Just on my side there is right at 50 years experience between me and my night guy.He has been in the business forever.

I will drag all of you after me!! :D I think it would be an extra workout for me. My husband thinks I'm nuts...But for me, the only way to deal with stress or survive a bad day is to run. Everything is ok again when I can run.

Fins, you are too disciplined. I deal with stress by stressing. :lol: THe only running I get to do is from ball to scouts to school to chior to church...and so on. :lol:

Yep hubby and I went shopping on friday. We were up at the cabin and the nearest town with big stores was about 50 miles away. We were at the store when it opened :oops: it was nuts. I just hate shopping on that day. But they had mp3 players for $17.99 and 24 packs of AA batteries for $2.99 so I just had to go. I got down on my hands and knees to get the batteries lol yep I got shoved but oops I just happened to drop a whole box (12 packs of 24 ) on the persons foot that pushed me lol. Then I pissed a bunch of people off because I was down lower at the shelf and I started passing them through to the people on the outside. I almost started a riot lmao. It was great. Hubby is standing back thinking OMG. Then as I was walking through the store someone tried to grab one of my mp3 players out of my hand. I looked right at her and said go ahead and try ( with my most evil look) she backed off. Hubby made me leave the store because he thought I was going to start something. He's such a party pooper. I also got a HP 3 in one printer,copier,scanner for my mother-in-law for $34 :D Now I am going to have to hook it up and show her 10 million times how to use it :evil:

I can remember one year I had a different job and finally had the day after Thanksgiving off and HUBBY wanted to go shopping. I told him no, don't make me go, I don't wanna go. But I gave in and we went. We ended up at toys r us and we were standing in line to check out for 2 hours :shock: We took breaks going out to have a smoke. The people in line were laughing at us. Hubby ended up not ever wanting to go shopping that day again, until this year. Hubby remembered how I am when people push and shove me and try and take things out of my cart and he told me if he was going to go shopping on that day again I am to stay at home lol he said he didn't want to have to pick me up from the police station on the way home lmao. I'm not rude or pushy I just stand my ground.

I hate shopping this time of year.

Anyone remember last year when I almost got in a fight at Walmart a few days before Christmas because the rude lady took all the large gift bags?

Oh...you are brave Tweety! I worked in retail as a cashier for over 5 years. I hate getting up early and they always put me on the early shift. People are usually nice however I seemed to get the cranky ones. I would just smile and say "Happy Holidays"! I am so glad I don't do that anymore..I do not get up early unless absolutely necessary!! But I do like to shop...on my schedule! Just lazy I guess..

Next time I go shopping, I'm taking puddle and the fat pig with me! :lol:

I got parking lot rage one day when my Mom and I went Christmas shopping last year. We were pulling out of our parking space and my Mom was saying, "should I go this way and we'll go to Shopko, or this way and we'll go to Target?" We were probably sitting there for about 5 seconds when this car flies up behind us and the lady laid on her horn and yelled "get outta the way bi%$h!!" I lost it! My Mom just looked at me with her mouth hanging open when I jumped out of the car and screamed a few choice profanities while shaking my fist and telling the woman to back the ____ off, or else!! Ha ha ha! I have to laugh about it now, but it was a bad day of shopping, I had a headache, and NO ONE calls my Mom a bi#*h! Hee hee! If I would have been in a more foul mood, I probably would have gone to jail! The holidays sure bring out the best in people, don't they? :) LOL

I hardly do any shopping this time of year, and I wait until the closing hours are extended to 11:00 PM or later...not very crowded then.

I waited in line from 10:00 PM - 12:45 AM to get my copy of Halo 3 on its release date. I will not do that again, no matter the bargain/product.

i'm not really a morning so getting up at 3am to get to a sale that last about 4 hours is not my idea of fun.
