Will that raise your credit score?

Be sure to check back in thirty days to make sure it was not put back on there. It will be removed when you contest it but if it is validated it will be put back. That is how some credit repair companies rip you off. They contest everything at once, get paid and then the marks come back weeks later!

Removing negative entries that are obsolete, inaccurate, false or are erroneous will surely increase your score. But if you are talking about accurate negative items then I'm afraid that they cant be removed. I know there are many credit repair clinics that advertise that they can remove accurate bankruptcies, liens, foreclosures and charge offs ..but its not true. No credit repair company can change negative items that are accurate.
