My husband and I have a total of 7 pdls. We got into a fix a while back and took one out, then we needed to take another out to cover that one and so on. We have kept up paying on the pdls, but now are in danger of losing our home (the bank will start foreclosure procedings in 17 days if we don't pay them the amount we are behind. After covering the pdls, we aren't left with any money to pay anything else. We have two small children and christmas is coming. I'm not sleeping and feel like a walking zombie. We really don't want to lose our home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks!

I am so sorry your family is going through this hard time. Please post the information Kashzan requested above. The people in this forum are so knowlegeable, they will give you great advise on how to deal with you pdls.
I would also suggest that you go to the Mortgage forum on this site (on the top of the page, click on the Mortgage link) and post for advice regarding the foreclosure issue. With the real estate market the way it is now, your bank really does not want your house back and I am sure that the people in the Mortgage forum can give you advise on how to deal with the foreclosue issue.
Best of luck

We live in Ohio. Our pdls are as follows (it's sad)

my cash now (online) $500+interest of 186.20 (its "renewed" every two weeks)

FastCashPersonalLoans online$500+$128.67,"renewed every two weeks.

Cashland (storefront)750+142.50
CheckNGo (storefront)800+112.50
CheckExchange(storefront)800+112.50
CheckSmart(storefront)800+112.50
In addition we also have a six month $1000 loan with Check N Go that is 242.49 every two weeks.

My husband starts on payday buying them back and going back to write more to cover the next one. We are sinking quickly and don't know what to do. These stupid pdls sound good to start with, but they take you down fast. I think they should be illegal. As I said, we've kept up with paying the pdls, but are now in clear danger of losing our house.

I understand that they are renewed, but how much have you actually paid them. I will in the meantime post the laws for your state. Most on line pay day loans atr illegal. Mosyt store fronts however are operationg leaglly.

You will find the Payday loan laws for Ohio here (just select your state),

The FastCashNow we've paid 558.60
MyCashNow we've paid 932.50
On the storefront loans we've been robbing Peter to pay Paul for about 8 months now.

Looks to me like your two internet are already overpaid. Whst you need to do is close your account so they can not debit any more money from you. Please read the sticky reagarding closing your account at the top of the pay day loan forum page, to be sure you can close it. Be sure that your bank will not force open a closed account when an ach comes thru. You need to go to all your store fronts and see if they will give you the epp. Extended paymnet plan.If they are members of the cfsa they must do this. This can only be done before you default on your loans

Checksmart is a CFSA member and you are allowed to have the load broken down. I believe you must contact them before it defaults to enter in the EPP program?

Check Exchange was very nice with me on repayments. I think they are allowing me to pay $25 a month to them on a $400 loan. You may want to go into the store and talk to them and see what they can do.

If it comes down to it, Check N Go and Cashland store use collection agencies on me. I am not sure if they would use a CA for you since your dollar amount. My cashland store loan was for 345 and Check N Go was maybe in the 600's.

Any one of the storefronts that are members of the CFSA, they can go in and invoke the EPP to get the loans broken down into 4 equal payments coinciding with their paydates. However, you do have to go in BEFORE the due date of the loan. Even just one day, just make sure it's before the due date.

This one sounds like an installment loan (?) which would not be considered a pdl.

I have been on this forum several times in the last week but have been to ashamed or afraid to reply or maybe admit what to what a mess I am in. I currently have 5 internet pdl's and just keep getting more to cover the interest for the next. I also have 4 store front pdl's which i am in the process of getting payment arrangements for and have successfuly got it arranged for 2 of them. Can someone please tell me what I need to do for the internet pdl's to make payment arrangements or something. I honestly do not even know where the pdl's are through. It seems that when I got the loans they were different names than what shows up on my account statement at the bank. I am from Wisconsin and believe that our state does not have much protection for consumers regarding internet pdl's. Please help

I have read on here before they took someone to court. The collection agency really didn't work with me. I wished I had a tape recorder when the CA called my work. I have a past post about them in here but to sum it up the guy was a jerk. He would call and act like a 5 year old with the comments he would make. Asking me if my employeer knows I am a theift since I take out a PDL and don't pay it on time. There was other things that was said so I sent a cease communcations to me and only be contacted through USPS. After they got that letter they turned it over back to Cashland. Some reason I thought they were Checkland and they never cashed any checks. So, over time the checks were returned and they wanted to be paid off in 2 payments. Luckly I was able to swing it and they are taken care of.

teresasbengals, you are going to have to stay VERY STRONG< I like Ryan am in Ohio and I've had a a few of these places, Express PRA and Checksmart are worst to the tenth degree! They will be beyond NASTY< I'm not trying to scare you just trying to prepare you. Ryan had warned me but I honestly didn't get the full impact of just how bad they would be until I went through default with them....Just close your ears and take deep breaths! Keep us posted.
