Hello. I am new to this forum and actually have just stumbled on it. I have signed up with a company called PDL assistance inc. they do debt settlement for payday loans, which I have several of. I was curious if anyone else has had dealing with them.

honestly if you call the orginal creditors or the collection agency they are with now you can settle the account with them.

Well Jacey....thanks. I guess I have my answer then. I need to do this on my own.

Eastside lenders and gfs (GFSIL) I shouldn't owe a penny - have overpaid eastside 300 bucks over what i borrowed and practically double paid GFS. I wonder how hard they are going to fight me on this.....I'm in Texas and from waht I can see all my lenders are illegal except CNET (Ameriloan, VCF, GFS, PDL Loan Center, Eastside lenders)

Just to give you a little insight no one can garnish your wages in texas. you should check out your state laws on payday loans in your state. everyone should. alot of these companies can not give or collect loans in several different states, and if they are then call the federal trade commission they will help you. I'm a good bill collector not one of the those evil mean kind. anyways if you dont believe the balance is right dispute it with the creditor and they have to prove to you why it is that way and that should help you.

US FastCash - Loan: $450.00 Paid: $725.00

Also where is the letter that referenced to write to them, I can't seem to locate it.

Thank you, Robin

I found the letter that was referenced as I scrolled through more screens. Thank you.

I guess I should also say that I started out with a couple small PDL loans to pay for some medical tests then I ended up having to pays tons of medical bills so I wasn't able to pay them off quickly and so I started getting more to help cover my expenses, and you understand how it goes.

I just want to get some sleep at night. I lay awake hating myself for this mess I have gotten myself into. I got paid today and of course my entire paycheck was gone within hours and I now have other amounts from who knows where showing up on my account as well.

I'm going to close out my account and send out the letters next week. Question though: Do I have to close out the account or can I just put stop payments on all the ACH debits? What is the better solution? I have other bills that come out directly like my car insurance and etc., so I have to wait until they clear before I can close out my account.

Thanks again, you are all giving me hope.

How do I find out if I am in a database for PDLs. I did have two before and I had to go through a Chapter 13 including the two PDLs in it. It has been discharged but I recently applied for a PDL and was turned down and they said they did not check my credit but I could be in a DB somewhere.

If you defaulted with a PDL company in the past it is possible you were reported to Teletrack. This is a database that most PDL companies use to verify derrog information or PDL inquiries. You can request a copy of your report for free. Just google the Teletrack website.

I would not try to apply for any PDLs. Try and get the money elswhere. :?

I just recently signed up with PDL assistance. They were great to deal with, answered all of my questions willingly and were very knowledgeable. I just hope they are able to fully help me! Boy, what a nightmare Payday loans can be!

i am currently a client of pdl assistance and they are a buch of crooks!! i am being garnished from my paychecks because they have not been handling my business, which makes me wonder what they are doing with my money.. they are causing me more stress than if i'd handle this myself. i spoke with many different people and noone seems to know whats going on. it has been one huge ordeal after another and many, many empty promises..stay away from this company!!

I just heard an advertisement for them yesterday here in AZ, I am so glad I never got involved with them.

Mad Guest - Were you summoned to court for a garnishment or is it a wage assignment? Wage assignments are revocable by you. Your employer should be able to help with this if they were not court ordered to withhold money from your check.

I signed up with this debt consolidation service and found out that they had been taking my money but not settling my debt! My accounts were now 10 months past due and I was out almost $2000! My advice call each company and work something out. With the recession, most companies are more willing to work with you than before.

How can you tell what PDL companies are legal or not. I have 2 PDL's, and was thinking about calling that PDL Assistance, but by the time you pay your fees, you are just as well off paying off the PDL's. I would just like to know which ones are legal and illegal.

I also had several PDL's out at 1 time, 12 to be exact. the first thing I did was went to my bank and told them my situation, they put my account on a hard hold, or on a deposit only setting. I then waited, freaking out about all of the "Harassing" calls I would get....and Nothing...It wasnt until about 4 days after that I finally got a call from one PDL company, the trick with them is to be honest, and upfront with them about your situation, answer their calls and don't be rude.
So far I have 6 of my debts in settlements and am making payments on my own terms, and 1 already paid in full. You can do it yourself, it just takes time, patience and confidence. Don't be bullied into arrangements you can't afford, and don't go to a settlement company like PDL assistance or Langehorn Debt solutions. Try it on your own!!

I took out a 100.00 loan with Pack Managment back in March. To this day they take 30.00 dollars out of my account every two weeks. To this date I have paid them 300.00 amd they said they will continue to take 30.00 out of my account forever unless I fax them to take 130.00 dollars out to pay them back. I am trying to get my bank to stop payment to them as I feel I have more then paid them back.

I am currently working with PDL assistance and they have been very helpful. Only a few Payday Loan Companies keep calling but they are trying to get the full amount from me rather than PDL making them settle for something or nothing. PDL is very anti-payday loan in the sense that they explained to me that I should be able to settle my payday loans for a lot less, because I already overpaid on my payday loan from the APR I pay on doing it once, and falling into doing rewrites, they make a ton off the consumer. Rewrites are like standing in a pool that is filling up with water and being able to dump it out with a thimble. It just isn't going to get you anywhere.

I have been working with PDL since March of 2009-they've been great. They call me to check in once in awhile and give me a status update of where they are at with loan settlements. While the initial $200 enrollment fee was high, it was definitely worth it when the harassing creditor calls stopped and the ACH debits stopped me from overdrafting. I've saved more money this way than I probably would have on my own. PDL does take time to work but they are already working on a settlement for me (I had 4 PD loans out). Initially it seems like they don't do anything for you while they debit your account (my bill to them each month is $177), but they need to wait until you accrue enough funds in your rocky mountain bank and trust account in order for your collectors to start negotiating a settlement.

Their customer service has been satisfactory-I never speak to the same person but they all have been helpful in helping me to understand the process.

YES. Just make sure you have $200 for your first initial payment. Then they consolidate everything for you into one low monthly payment. It TAKES TIME, so don't expect immediate results. The creditor's phone calls will stop almost immediately after you take the right steps (just follow the instructions they give you in the welcome packet-fill everything out and fax it back to them ASAP so they can start working for you).

Trust me, I was weary at first...but they are working on my first settlement now and I only have three more after that. I'm sure you could try bargaining with your loan companies if you don't want to use PDL, but it takes time to reach an agreement. I'd rather have the professionals do it!

I have a contract currently with PDL assistance, however i am still getting notices and calls from collectors, and they have taken $1000.00 of my money and not settled any of my loans, and now that I am trying to cancel the contract with them, they are telling me tha I cannot. I would just try to settle things on your own with the companies, and not go through this service. Had I know they were going to be like this I would have tried to deal with things on my own.

Don't sign up with a PDL... you can settle your accounts yourself... I did and i had 9 internet loans. PDL will only take your money. Call and settle your accounts yourself and you will save so much money. Close your accounts first and they will make the next move.

I have been enrolled with them for 18 months now and have settled over 1/2 of the accounts. They have given me good results and advice in how to deal with the pd loan crooks who pose as different individuals to scare you to pay them. Ive kept very good notes and kept in good communciation with them. I would recommend them most definitiely

I am working with them but I have about a year trying to settle my payday loans and they haven't done anything for me I paid about 900 dollars and im down to 300 because they charge every month for services. I can't tell if they've held me or hurt me because I haven't had a settlement yet.

I actually first signed up with these guys but canceled the next day. It will be a year since I first defaulted on my internet payday loans. One 2 out of 10 were legal and I just settled those two myself this week for 60% of the principle balance.

As for the illegal loans. I will overpaid them and I get a few calls now and then but nothing I can't handle. With this website and a little confidence, anyone can settle their own PDL mess. Also, its best to make everything in writing... even with legal lenders.

I just got off the phone with PDL Assistance. I was so excited when I signed up for their help back in July 2010 that I had found a company to help me get out of the pay day loan trap I had gotten myself into. I followed all of the rules of the program and paid faithfully my $119 every other week. Now I am being told that they only paid one of my three loans, a debt for $390 when I signed up was settled for $214. There are still two loans outstanding one which was $390 when I signed up and is now over $500, and another that was $1319 and is now over $4000. The call today was to let me know that of the $1747 I paid in total they want to know if I want the remaining $420 back so I can deal with my other two creditors myself. Otherwise they will continue to charge me the $29.95 per month and see if they can get through to the creditors. I called the larger creditor and was told they have only heard from PDL one time and that was on 2/22/11 when they faxed a settlement proposal offering $461.72 on a now $4000 debt. They have taken $843 from me that I could have used to pay my creditors but now I'm just out that money and instead of them helping me they say "don't worry about them because they are internet loans and they cant sue you or garnish your wages"...Oh so I'm supposed to just jip them and hope that you aren't lying to me now like you did when I signed up for this program?! THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BEEN SCREWED BY PDL ASSISTANCE NEED TO FIGHT BACK...ITS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT!!! ANY TAKERS, PLEASE EMAIL AT luv_zu_mo@yahoo.com!!!!
