It might be a card through Northland. Do not ever agree to a collection agency offering you credit. They generally have outrageous fees and you become indebted to them. Thats when they get you because the fdcpa would no longer apply to them as it would become first party collections.

Just another example of a debt collection agency scam SCREAMING for a complete overhaul of the fdcpa...

I have heard many times of Macy's doing this on other boards...it is not a scam and it is not Northland offering it. You pay Macys off and they will reactivate your card.
I received the same offer and I think it's too good to be true.
