Yet Another Cash Call Post
Date: Tue, 02/19/2008 - 05:08
Today I received an e-mail from their loss mitigation department offering a change in terms. My interest rate lowered, thus my payment is lowered by about $90.00. And wow, I get to start over with a clean slate (their words) I have until Feb 28th. I will more than likely take the offer until I can just pay them off. The interest rate is cut in 1/2 so that will help. And now that I am back to work I hopefully can catch up.
It is amazing how they stick us for an obscene interest rate and then they want to do us a "favor" by lowering it to a slightly less obscene interest rate. And the sad part is, the sense of relief I felt not to be sent to collections and not to worry about court and garnishment. And I am "happy" ( can not find another adjective) to pay the slightly less obscene interest rate. This is one of those days I could kick myself repeatedly for thinking that taking this loan would help me out.
Dont kick yourself. I am sure you have done that numerous times
Dont kick yourself. I am sure you have done that numerous times already. Roxy, I dont think you have any other choice but to "let them do you a favor" andtake their very generous offer. It beats going to court.
I am so sorry you got involved with these slime balls, but now all you can do is work towards getting away from them.

We all do things we have to do even if we dont want to do them, there is no sense in regretting it. Dont be down on yourself. Financially I am in ruins too and I been layed off so I have no income to pay anything! But thats just life sometimes

Leah, I am sorry to hear that you have been laid off. I think I may have seen it in your other post. Anything on the horizon job wise?
Hope something pops up soon for you.

Leah, I am so sorry. I know things have been really difficult for you lately. Sometimes it seem like no matter what you do you can not catch a break. I hope things get better for you and quickly.
Cash Call
Has anyone seen anymore ads, for Cash Call? I haven't seen any, in a while. I just thank GOD my account, from Cash Call, was 'sold' to an CA. i don't know, if this would help, but....would anyone like the name of the CA? i don't know if you can 'move' accounts, or not, but, it's worth a try.

I haven't seen that Gary Coleman ad in a long time but sure have seen the wonderful, business like atmosphere of the PDL's..with their slogan "only borrow what you need responsibly, blah, blah, blah,

I saw one last week that had a guy in a boat and at the end they had a statement to the effect that if you can not pay the money back do not borrow.

Roxy-From an amoritazation standpoint, are they "renewing" the term as well? Example, if you have already paid 100 months on a 180 month term, are they giving you a break on the interest and then starting it over again at 180 months?
cash call
In my personal experience, if Cash Call gives you ANY 'wonderful opportunity' turn it down. It may SEEM great, but, in the end, it's really not. They gave me a 'great deal' at one time, too. As I did all of the calculating, I would have paid back MORE than %100 of what I originally barrowed. BE careful with their 'great deals.'
