Has anyone used Consumer Credit Counseling Service?

Do they minimize your debt and your monthly payment or how do they work? I'm 25...and a recent college grad. I really need help because I can't spend my life paying credit card bills!!!
I'm not on default, nor have I missed any payments, but I'm sick and tired of using my paycheck to pay off ridiculous interest rates and not feel like I'm paying off my debt....and they seem to increase my interest rate whenever they feel like it. NOT COOL.
If anyone could give me some guidance or some information on consumer credit counseling Service I would really appreciate it!!!

The only experience, I had, with Consumer credit counseling......about a year ago, I faxed ALL paperwork I had (bills,etc). They said they would " go through it and get back to me." I never heard a word back. So..I really don't know if they deal with credit cards and/or unsecured bills. They weren't very clear on that. I should have called them back, for a follow-up, but, I never did. I figured..if they REALLY wanted to help me, they would have called back.

I cannot remember the name of the company that I had used a few years back, but they didn't do anything really for me. They did not deal with nor negotiate with my creditors and they wanted more than what my minimum payments would have been and when something went wrong, I still had to deal with the company. They told me they didn't do that sort of things and they tacked on $12.95 per month for their services.
What every company you are thinking of going with, make sure you check them out and they are going to do what they tell you tehy are going to do.
