My debt has not been turned over to a CA yet. I am receiving at least 5 calls a day from my credit card co. I have caller ID and some of the calls from my creditor do not show an ID for that company. Isn't it a law that credit card companies have to show who they are on caller ID?

I dont believe that the original creditor had to ID themselves on caller ID. However, I believe that collection agencys do per the fdcpa.

If its a collection agency, they can call between the hours of 8am-9pm, 7days a week. However, if they make a contact with you on any day, they may not call you back on that same day. They are allowed one contact per day.

If you are unsure of who is calling, Google the ph# that is coming up on the caller id.
