Got an email from WPD.. Basically it said that my account was "Seriouly delinquent" (just went into default on the lst of March)

We have made numerous attempts to contact you but we have not been able to reach you. (true..but their nuts if they think i am going to talk to them.)

You must call "immediately" to make "arrangements" (i wonder what kind of arrangements THEY have in mind) to bring your account current or you will leave us no
choice but to pursue our rights as provided by law (what law are they referring to?) to collect this debt, this may include LEGAL ACTION and negative reporting to all credit bureaus.

I am not going to call them..now since i have an legit email address i will send them an email to let them know i am willing to pay what is left owing on the balance of what i borrowed and request a PIF letter prior to sending any money to them.

Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated.

thanks

Yeah, Whiterock is from Oregon like me!

Oregon recently changed it's laws to make them iron clad against internet lenders and such. They absolutly, no exceptions, must be licensed and must follow Oregon's laws on interest and rollovers.

Web Payday is not licensed, and is not following Oregon's laws.

white, on another note, I want you to be extra careful with Web Pay Day. Keep a very close eye on them. After getting this resolved, marked paid in full, receiving a refund, etc. Web Pay Day "sold" my loan to a collection agency. I was never notified by the collection agency. At the advice of goudah one day, she told me to check my credit report just to see if anything was on there. YUP. The collection agency for Web Pay Day was on my reports. Talk about blowing a gasket! I'm not trying to alarm you at all. I just want you to be very watchful with them. Hell, they gave me a refund and then sold me to a collection agency! Hello! And, of course, the shady collection agency never even notified me of anything (or I would have disputed it). So I had to fight with them and also dispute it with the 3 credit agencies. It all got straightened out, thank goodness. But, this just goes to show you how these pdls operate.

Thank you all for the information...My credit sucks cannr, but i will keep monitor my credit report. What i am planning on doing with these people is email and request a PIF letter prior to me sending them any money. once letter is received i will then mail the money order (that will not be purchased at my bank) certified mail RRR. Is this the correct way to proceed? Or am i to receive another letter from them after i have sent them the $$$?

Cannr - forgot to answer your question..I have not filed a complaint yet with the BBB. I am going to see what happens when i make my offer..Funny thing is they do not reference the letter i sent earlier this month (which doesn't surprise me). I will let them know AGAIN that they are illegal in Oregon and they can KMB!!!!!!!!!!!!(LOL) will offer to pay what i still owe on the original amount borrowed and that will be that. if i get a nasty gram from them then i will file a complaint.

llw1995 - I am doubting that i will get something ahead of time either, but will give it a shot..i will let them know that i am willing to pay what i legally owe and when i send the money i will request a PIF letter, but most likely will receive nothing. I know one thing I WILL NOT talk to them on the phone..

whiterock. . .I haven't had the pleasure of doing business with WPD so I can't safely speak to that but I felt the same way about CPD a/k/a Pay Day Max and my cash now. However, when the second call came in today I was so sick and tired of their not answering my emails that I was just steamed enough to call. Now, in hind sight, I am glad that I did. It got resolved to my satisfaction and I am done with it. I did, however, file with everyone I could think of, and they knew it. I was very good at keeping they apprised of the siutation. Perhaps that helped my cause. Funny thing is, prior to the phone call today I could NOT even get into either website. Now I can get in, but it tells me that my account has not been confirmed, which to me means I no longer have an account with them. . .like, I would EVER want to have an account with them again anyway! Don't give up. . . . keep bugging them.
