Yes, of course it is possible. debt consolidation is only a loan, so you can apply for one whenever you like. Eg. - You can take several of your loans & pay them all off with the one consolidation loan. This generally makes it easier for you to manage your debts. It doesn't matter if you are behind on payments or not.

Same here. Paying everything on time, but it's draining my paycheck so I can't even get an apartment. I'd prefer a debt settlement over a consolidation. Not sure I qualify for this, or how much it will damage my credit.
