I'm so excited! Got a call today from Credit Protection Depot. Hemmed and hawed about calling back but I finally bit that bullet and dialed in. A young woman answered my call and after giving her the extension number, which was busy, she asks if she can help. I hesitated at first but then I said what the hell. She checks my file and tells me that I owe $452.68 on my my cash now loan of $300 to which I have already paid $301 and change. She then proceeds to tell me that I owe $542.68 on my "other" loan. I play dumb and say "what other loan"? Of course, she then says Pay Day Max so now I have the connection of the two to CPD. I start getting my feathers ruffled and begin to tell her that the MCN is done, paid in full, as far as I am concerned. She gets all flusterd and tells me that I have to speak with Tommy. Okay, fast forward about 5 minutes and along comes Tommy who sounds like he is all of about 10 years of age. He proceeds to check my file and tells me that his supervisor has closed out my MCN loan and it has a zero balance. He also tells me that I still owe $230.72 on my original dollar amount of my PDM loan (which I do) and in order to close it out and have it paid in full I have to pay it by March 31st. After questioning Tommy about 50 times as to the cease fire on my phone, he assures me that it is a done deal. He tells me that he will send me two emails outling the details of both loans and SAVE everything he sends me and my receipt for the last payment to PDM. I ask him where they are located for time purposes of getting the funds to them(I just really wanted to see if I could find out where they were located) and he tells me for "security" reasons he can't give me that info. Damn straight they need to be hidden for security reasons. Someone might just blow that building off the face of the planet. Just for the record, the email indicates that they ARE in Las Vegas, Nevada. Just where I sent copies of my C and D letters for both MCN and PDM. That clever Tommy helping me out without saying a thing! I give it some thought for a moment and I agree, even though it will be a stretch to get it there and it will blow my April budget all to hell. BUT, with that payment two more of my PDL's will be gone. I suddenly have a moment of "momhood" and I thank him for being courtesy to me and I tell him I appreciate that he is just doing his "job" BUT. . . . in the next breath we get into a 5 minute conversation about the virtues of getting a good education and putting his talents to doing good for people and not working for vultures. At this point I am sure that poor Tommy would have done anything to shut me up. So, long story short, it was a relatively painless scenario and now I only have to deal with two more PDLer's. If I can only get USFastCash to accept my final $30 to pay back what I borrowed and find out what in the flying hell happened to Hillary over at Star Advance, I will be golden. Life is getting better in PDL land! I can't thank you guys enough for what you have done for me. I always say that there are NO conincidences in life and being put down with the flu this year was no exception. It lead me to this forum as I had all kinds of time on my hands to search for a way out of this mess. You guys truly are angels.

whiterock. . .after I filed a complaint with the BBB on them, and then countered, the BBB felt that they made a good faith effort to resolve it so they closed out my complaint. I kept sending them a copy of my C and D letter, via the internet and finally the customer service responded saying that they had forwarded my email on to the compliance department. I havent' heard anything since then. I still owe them $30 to pay back what I borrowed but I am not sure what address to send it to. I have asked repeatedly for a mailing address but I have gotten nothing, nor have they. They have so many addresses that I don't what one is legit. Received no calls from them. . . yet. Keep ya posted.

whiterock. . .it does help and thanks a bunch. If they accept it, then I feel I will be done with them as well. God I can't wait to get these bloodsuckers out of my life. I defaulted with them on February 29th and I never got anything from them. Just a response to the BBB from them that they wanted $140 to settle my loan. I told them no and the BBB closed it. Simple as that. They either take my $30 or they leave it. That's my good faith offer.

whiterock. . .up until 3:16 this afternoon I hadn't heard from anyone except for the one phone call to both me and one of my references on March 4th. Then I faxed my C and D letter to CPD. Nothing until today with the offer of PIF on one and just the remaining amount of my original loan balance by March 31st. My ameriloan went pretty much the same way. Nothing and then done in a heartbeat. Keep at em'
