moreno and woods...strictly an organization that needs investigated and shut down....thir calls remind me of childs prank phones call-but nasty in nature-richard ross, donna quinn, you should be ashamed of yourselves....these scam artists are lower than whale poop-and thats at the bottom of the ocean. do you really think trying to get people to pay bad debts of relatives is a way of making a living?.....

Tito - please be aware that Bank of America has recently purchase several other banks, so if your dad did have a credit card previously, it may have been sold and resold (with name changes along the way).

If you DV'd and they didn't respond, then legally they can't collect and that includes reporting on a credit report. I would have your dad check his credit report. If it shows up, I would dispute it to have it removed.

Call their bluff, I've been waiting for the so called paperwork that they say they are going to fax for my court day. These are nasty people. They have threatened to sue me for a balance that I don't even owe. They asked me to pay $800 or they would sue for interest and court fees on an account that was paid off several years ago. Beware anyone out there!!! This is a SCAM

desparatelyseekingsanity - I have checked all 3 credit agencies and nothing shows up reference Bank Of America for my Dad. As I posted, he has never had or has he ever applied for a credit card with them. The only credit card he's ever had is with a well known and established bank - never with Bank Of America...

nobody here is disputing this is a bottomfeeder,but WAMU,CHASE and BOFA are all basically one.check to see if he ever had a WAMU or CHASE card.it doesn't change the fact that this is a bottomfeeder,but with all the merger's happening.it would be good to know what's going on for your benefit.

Last Year I was Contacted by This Law Firm I asked for a Itemized bill and I was sent a Letter a 12 Year old can type. Today I was informed that I will be Served a Summons on Friday. This Woman said I stole her Clients Money I guess its takes a Thief To Know a Thief, Its strange this firm contacts me only a year ago. this bill is old from what I am told I applied for Disability and I have Won my Case. Now the Vultures Come Out!

Well what state are you in? If the debt has passed the statute of limitations and they sue you, you can have it thrown out right away. You can also file a counter suit for violating the FDCPA and get a cool $1,000 for yourself.

Do you know when the last time you paid on it?

Also if they did win in court and got a judgment, they CANNOT touch or make you pay out of your disability income, tell them NO NO NO NO!!!!! also tell them ALL income in your bank account is from disability and is EXEMPT!!! If you have assets that are not exempt they can take those that is the only down side. But your income they cannot touch.

hi just to add to the confusion but back in may a mrs mack called my parents,sister and brother looking for me telling them that it was involving a civil suit . i called immediately and verfied who i was and she told me i had a debt of 1200.00 . i asked what company the debt was from and she gave me a company that i never heard of . i asked her to send me the information and when she did it was in a hand written envelope and not a typed one that one would receive from a business or law firm , she told me later on that they would settle the debt for 800.00 but since i was unsure of the legitamicy i refused . about 2 months later i received a call from a mr roberts saying that a sheriff would be at my house the next day to serve me papers . i told him thats going to be difficult for the sheriff since the mail was sent to a po box and the company didnt have my home address.. then back in november mrs mack called to tell me on my voicemail that the sheriffs would be serving me at my job .. then just today mrs mack told me that a sheriff would be serving me on the 23rd of feb. i asked her where was he in nov. and reminded her that she left me a message 4 months ago saying that he would come to my job . she said she didnt say that . i asked her if its practice for a company to call someone and give them a time and place of when they would be served and she said that it was , so again i sit and wait ..

Bank of America, Wa Mu, and Chase are not the same whomever gave you that information gave you the wrong information you can contact Bank of America.

Well you will never be "served" they must tell every one that because I have been told I was gonna be "served" a "summons of appearence" I told then serve me I didnt owe them any money and i was not paying them $2,900.00 over the phone or by mail... she proceeded to tell me what "they would do" if I had a judgement placed on me... That they would freeze and aquire everything I have worked for... So I hung up on her... This was like 2 months ago... after I hung up she called me back, I cant remember her name Tabitha or Samantha I am not sure I havent heard from her since, and yelled at me like I was a child... I am a 45 yr old man, so I stated that I will not pay you and I am contacting my lawyer... I do believe she had someone else leave me a message, a man but my lawyer now handles this situation... needless to say my lawyer reviewed all three of my credit reports and did not find evidence of this account on any one of them!!! So pull your own credit reports and be verrryyy careful when dealing with them

This has been bothering me for sometime now. There is a woman out there that has been wronged by this so called collection agency law office, BROKERAGE FIRM. Her name is "Ellen Strong." She's been SCAMMED out of some $17k by Laura Webster and Terry Jacobs...governments Mike Azzinaro (owner or Glorified Office Manager and Lamisha Wooten acting Office Manager). Lamisha by the instruction of Mike Azzinaro scammed this woman out of her money for an account that wasn't hers. Poor thing, her mother passed away and Lamisha told her that she would take care of all of her debts on her mom's credit report. Ellen sent in a cashiers check for sum $17,000 and Lamisha and Mike pocketed that money. Poor Ellen...she calls the office to speak to "Laura Webster" but Ms. Webster is never available or is always in a meeting..Ms. Webster is sitting right there @ ext. 100 and if she isn't Mike Azzinaro is @ ext 118. Other collection agencies call there in regards to the accounts that were supposed to be paid off by Ms. Webster for Ellen and she even dodges them. What a SCAM!!!!...Ms. ELLEN STRONG...YOU HAVE BEEN WRONGED. BAMBOOZLED SCAMMED out of all that money...and you deserve to get you money back.... I sugguest you contact the FBI and the NYS ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. Actually it is not against the FDCPA to use an alias....most collectors use one and they are actually licensed under that name.

Morano and Woods called my place of employment, family members and others to say that someone filed a claim against me and DID NOT SUPPLY ANY PROOF. The reps name was Sara Roberts and threatened to contact human resources to garnish wages! Based upon what?? I faxed information to NYS Attorney General Office to file a formal complaint. This is crazy!!

I take it that Mr. Campfield was one of the few employees that cannot handle collections! My suggestion to you is to find yourself another job and stop smoking all that CRACK COCAINE ya coke head!!! If your really bout it tell the world how you like it, YA POO STABBING HOMO THUG!!! :twisted:

I too am a former employee of Moreno and Woods, I really don't know why you were let go however, " I do know why I was let go" I am use to industrial work you know? Hands on type of guy! Anyway, I said what the hell? GO 4 IT! It was a great experience, but I was and is still a " HANDS ON GUY" Meaning that I like to put in my 8 and go home to my cold beer without having to worry to wonder if my job is secure... I mean let's think about it if everyone paid their bills, ok, I'm getting a little ahead of myself... If 75% of people paid their bills, Where would collections be? It was always funny to me how I'd call someone and they are the exact person that I am Inquiring about and they would say the person isn't there! Come on people, don't you think that we've done our homework? All you guys are on the net posting your slang and innuendos about Moreno and Woods, it isn't fair... What's so wrong with what they do? If people would read the fine print on these CREDIT CARDS they would realize that they are paying a 19% intrest rate, can you imagine the total on that after going two years deliquent? I was only there for a short time, about six weeks! I have never or have never been instructed by anyone to up-charge an account. I was trained by Mr. Campfield whom I once heard tell an elderly lady to wheel herself to court so she can be sued.....
