A garnishment, or a wage assignment? Garnishments require a judgement, but your employer wouldn't have any choice on paying them. If this is indeed a garnishment, contact the court that issued the judgement immediately. You can request that the judgement be vacated for improper service. Wage assignments are a different animal. Those are voluntary, and can be revoked by you.
