One more thing I wanted to say. I have talked to most of the payloan loan companies and they have been willing to work with me. However I did close out my bank account to stop the uncontrolled withdrawals and the huge overdraft fees. Guess they won't have much choice but to work with me if they want to get paid. One company my cash now refused to settle with me for about 3 months. they kept calling and refusing to work with me. At one point they started to get threatening and I just told them I would file bankruptcy and they could get in line with the rest of my creditors. At that point I told them take it or leave it. they accepted my payment for an amount that I felt was fair without adding in all the interest and fees. So it is possible to work with many of them.

I'm glad it worked out for you, sometimes it takes a little push and shove from our end to get these companies to accept payments. I don't think it should have to come to that on either end though, it would be much easier and less stressful on both parts if people and businesses in this situation would just come to a compromise in an adult manner, without all the threats.

Good for you, I'm glad things are going your way ^_^

These companies really should smarten up. They aren't legal, so they really have no legal recourse if you decide to never give them another cent. Honestly, if someone who knows their rights says, "Look, I'll give you this and you can mark me PIF", then they should take it.

Seems like a lot of them still leave it, tho
