United Cash Loans, which is part of MTE financial, offered me a settlement this week via email, because I had filed complaints about them. I filed the complaints under UCL, not MTE financial. They said I could pay back the $210 of remaining principal, as I originally requested. The offer is good until June 15th.

Going through my bank statements over the last 2 1/2 years, I have overpaid on some of MTE's other dba's. I filed complaints about Paycheck Today and requested a refund, and they never responded or acknowledged the complaints. I have read that MTE claims they have no knowledge of Paycheck Today, and yet they are on the same Indian Reservation in Miami, Oklahoma. I also overpaid on a previous loan with ameriloan, another dba. United Cash Loans is also listed as AmeriLoan with the BBB these days.

Paycheck Today owes me approximately $1,000 in illegal fees and they refuse to respond, and AmeriLoan owes me illegal fees as well. So I'm thinking, why should I pay UCL the $210 when it's all under the same umbrella - MTE Financial??

What do you do when you "owe" one dba principal, but the other dba's refuse to respond to refund requests for illegal fees because they feel they are above the law on an Indian reservation, and the NET amount of the dba's is a REFUND TO ME exceeding $1,000?? I'm sure they will say that each dba requires a separate complaint, but it's not really fair when they only respond to the complaint where you owe them principal, and they ignore complaints where they owe you HUGE REFUNDS.

I really don't think I should pay UCL, unles Paycheck Today and AmeriLoan refund me. I'm also wondering if some of the other companies I've paid off in the last two years are affiliated and playing the same game: VC Funding and Total Lending I know are the same company; I also have overpaid on Cash in a Wink, NLS Cash Advance, 2-Power Funding, Arrowhead Investments, DFS (not sure who this is), USACashExpress, Payday Two (not Payday One, which is legal), AIP (they refunded me only $425 with no explanation or calculation, but they still owe me $354), BIG/Route 66/GLFS ( I know I will never see this money again, and it comes close to two thousand dollars in fees over the years). What a mess. But the good news is I only have 3 illegal PD's outstanding: UCL, Impact Cash, and Total Lending. Just settled with Eastside Lenders for the principal of $75(Whoo Hoo!!).

What do some of you think/advise as far as the MTE/UCL/Paycheck Today/AmeriLoan situation and "netting dba's" (amounts "owed" and refunds)? Again, it's not right when they won't refund or acknowledge on Paycheck Today and AmeriLoan, but demand repayment of a much lesser amount on UCL. It really makes me so     !!

So does this mean, practically speaking, that I can't "net" Paycheck Today and United Cash Loans because they are owned by two different entities? I owe UCL $210 in principal, and Paycheck Today owes me five times that amount in illegal fees since July 1st, 2007. Paycheck Today doesn't respond to complaints.
