What was the $1,000.00 for? Were you required to pay them upfront for their services? I've never used a company like this but it doesn't sound legit...kind of like when a company requires a payment up front for a loan...
Do you have an agreement with them where it lists their terms & conditions? There should be something in there that will let you know their cancellation policy.
Were you able to find this company on the BBB?
why did dts change their name
The 1,000 is for the retainer fee. Yes, we did sign an agreement with them but I have heard if you threaten to file complaints with the BBB. FTC, CONSUMER AFFAIRS, and AG, they may back off and return all your money. They also charge a $49 a mnonth mainteneance fee for all their "hard work". Haven't seen that yet.I am exploring options now...Superior Debt sounded good and so did Sifxpert until I realized you can't reach this guy. It's like he works for the CIA or something. I kind of don't trust any of them right now....similar to the way I feel about attorneys!

Maybe they changed their name because they got sold? Just a possibility.
why did DTS change their name
They weren't sold...they have the same owner. They operate under the name Settlement HQ AND New Era debt solutions. Too weird for me. Is the owner on the run from the law or something??!

I was told by DTS that I would be out of debt in 3 years. I have been making payments of over $650.00 a month since 2006 and I have no idea as to when this will end. the payments are automaticly deducted from My checking account . Is this how these kind of companies are suppose to operate or am I wasting my money.
