I received a call today from B.I.G at my work they said I owe @1200 dollars on a $200 loan. I have paid $155 and told them I would pay the $45 that I owe and asked where to send then he said I owe $290 and then after arguing with the guy and him on insisting in talking to my supervisor and I wouldn't let him (by the way he said he had my supervisor's cell-phone # what a joke) any way the amount he wanted me to send then ended being $150 dollars. He also said that he was going to talk to my payroll department and get it out of my check. I have sent them a letter already revoking my wage assignment and I told him they were an illegal company and to go ahead and try. He said since I was going to pay the discounted price he was going to call my payroll department and get the $1200. I also asked him for their business license and he would not send a copy to me. What a loser. Anyway my questionis should I send them the $150 to just be done or stand my ground and insist on the $45 that I really only owe? Any advice?

That would be up to you. Most often this board advises to pay only what you have borrowed but in the end, you have to do what is right for you and a lot depends on how fast you want this to be over. $150, down from $1200 is a big jump. I'd have to give that some serious thought.

B.I.G is ILLEGAL. Please do not send them anything. This company is not licensed and not even in the US. All they can do is make threats over the phone. I cannot believe that clown asked to speak to your supervisor..lol. Please type their name in search box above for more info and customer experiences with this company. That will give you more reassurance on how to handle this. Untill then STAND your ground :) Best of luck!

Thanks Shazzers. I already made that offer in writing and over the phone and when I asked where to send the $45 he said that I owe $1200 then it was $290 and then $150. He didn't want my $45 and wouldn't tell, me where to send.

I've got to jump in on this one. guest, BIG is a pain in the a$$. They will harrass you if you send them $1200, $150, or $45. It doesn't matter. They are going to continue to call you and threaten you regardless if you send them your first born child. Honestly. They will insist on Money Gram/Western Union payment only. They don't even want money orders. They are the biggest joke. And (again as others have pointed out), highly illegal. If they don't want your $45, then they can stick it. I went round and round with these morons until I finally changed my number. They still lurk around. Honestly, if you want to send them the $45, you're more than welcome to. I wouldn't send them a dime more. They're lucky to get that back. Also, just remember, if you don't send the $45, they can't do a damn thing to you. Illegal company, illegal debt. Pretty much sums it up. The most they can do is harrass you via telephone, which they will do whether you pay them or not. It's what they are notorious for.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I will just until they call again and ask how or where I can send the $45 and if they don't want it so be it. I am not going to worry about it anymore.
