So I received a call from a gentleman yesterday stating that US National Bank is putting an OCL on me. OK what is an OCL....He couldnt give me any information except that money was deposited in my checking account on May 23, 2006...Well that would be impossible because I closed that checking account on April 11, 2006...So when I told him that, and I also told him that I can fax him over my papers from the bank stating that the account is closed he got all nervous....He said that I will be charged for 3 accounts of a felony...I consider myself a good person, never been in trouble and never want to be....The number that the guy of US National Bank called from is 480-282-6894...and then he called back with a different number 832-546-128....and that is it....one is from AZ and the other is from TX....what should I do to handle this...he said that i suppose to owe 1947.50...i did in the past have payday loans but they go back from 2005 to 2006.....and they are all paid in full....then i tell this guy why did you wait till 2 years later to contact me....the only information he was giving me was my social number and my old bank number....what should i do...i told the guy from US National Bank to contact me about this wrong date thing...he is suppose to call back on friday.....

I had a couple of jerks call me the last couple of days and make the same threats. They say it is over a payday loan from Quick Payday for 2005. In 2002 and 2003 I got several payday loans and had trouble paying them, but I worked out payments will all the accounts and paid them what I said I would. So how in 2008 is Leo Walters and Keith Parker from a collection company in Miami (954-678-9724) & Ft. Lauderdale (same number) calling me a saying it is a debt from 2005. Neither would give me the name of their company and I told both I was recording the call, which I did. The second guy left a voicemail when I hung up on him and wished me luck and said to be sure to drive home carefully!!!

I still have the vociemail. I checked my records at home and found that I had paid Quick Payday in full. How do they get names to contact? This debt was back in 2003.

These idiots are still at it. I get a call every now and then about a loan I had in 2005 that was discharged in bankruptcy in 2006. I just have fun with them whenever they call...I love it when they try to use big words. The best is when they try to use banking terms, not knowing I work at one.

A guy has called me a total of 13 times today with this same BS!!!! I was confused, because he kept telling me that he had 'TWO WHOLE FILES' (in very broken English, by the way. Where are they calling from??) to download on me. I told him I didn't give a damn, start downloading, and hung up. Oh I really made him mad. After this he called me 12 more times; me answering and hanging up most of the times, and other times hitting the 'Ignore' button and sending them to voicemail. The voicemail he sent to me is laughable... to SAY THE LEAST!!!!!! He told me that my attorney better call him by 4:00 today at (214) 618-5899 or else 'God Can Only Bless Me', because the FBI is coming to arrest me. HAHA!!!!! I'm afraid now. Oh no!!!! My phone is ringing as I type. Guess who's calling?? 832-546-128

I am getting the same calls....Yesterday he said too that only god could help me...the very first time they called me, I was scared and gave them $300 bucks....well yesterdays voice message said that the $270 bucks that I agreed to pay every two weeks was declined...um yeah because I should of did my research before I gave them the money, so I cancelled my card....i guess they think we are stupid.....a different guy called and said that he is from us national bank and that if i dont return his call that i will be downloaded and that only god could help me....my friend that i contacted said that if they cant validate the debit that its a scam....and that a collection agency is only suppose to call only once a day not 15 times a day.....

I am now getting calls from 3 different numbers. The lastest showed up as 832-546-129 on caller ID. I hungup on him and he called me back and left a message saying I just hung up on the police and can expect to be arrested if I don't call right back. The number he gave to call back is 818-688-7215 which is a CA number. They last guy that called gave me a FL number. Who are these crazy people? And why can't they spead English?

i would make notes of every number that comes up.the police
dept wouldn't hire illiterate idiots like that in a million years.just
don't give in granny, they sound like they are getting desperate.
judging by some of the messages on this forum.

The crazy part is now they are calling from a maryland line....ok if i dont recognize the number on my caller id on my cell phone, i will not answer it....send it straight to voice mail....but now i know who it is, so what i have been doing is pushing talk and then hanging up on them....

What I don't understand is I have not recieved this type of call since the Elliot company that the state of FL shut down in 2005. So why now am I suddenly getting calls from multiple numbers? How do they get my information and why am I now getting the calls again after 3 years? Any what number is 832-546-129? There aren't enough digits.

Yes the first call said US National. The others won't say what the debt is they are collecting on. I asked the last guy why would any law enforcement agency employ someone that doesn't speak English to contact US Citizens and then hung up. This was the guy that called right back and left the message about being arrested.

They are calling my work number. They don't have my extension, so every call is going through the switchboard. I appoligized to the receiptionest because there are so many calls and ask that she not give my extension number to them. Thankfully she is understanding because she had a family member that had their identy stolen and knows the hassle these things create.
Has anyone figured out a way to get them to stop calling? I can't do a fog horn (as much as I would like to) because I am at work. Thanks for your help.

Because I wouldn't answer my phone, they asked the front desk to transfer them to the head of HR. He just came and talked to me about it. He told me they said a bunch of bad stuff about me and that I would be arrested. He wrote down some of the information and then goggled them. He told me not to pay them because this is some kind of scam. They also blocked the number. How embarrassing, but at least they can't call anymore.

that granny was a blessing in disguise.i know alot of people
don't like to admit or tell there co-workers about there pdl's,but
they being your co-workers should be your allies, not your
enemies.at least that is what it seems like to me,too many
people leery about telling anyone about the pdl's.i was that way too,but once i told my family and co-workers my life got
better because they helped me with the abusive calls.
