I just googled the mailing address for ameriloan and came across a website for "MNE."

MNE=Miami Nation Enterprises

They have a collection company, a graphic design company, a movie theater and a couple other businesses.

I wonder if these payday loan companies (Ameriloan, MTE, etc.) are taking advantage of reservation sovereignty, which is why they've been allowed to operate under the radar for so long?

awesome mary,you are right.all MTE d/b/a's operate like that.they are on indian land therefore the laws don't apply to them.unfortunatley for them my AG doesn't agree with that and neither do several other AG's.

Thank you goudah. I have been pretty silent on this one because as you remember, I created quite a stir when I suggested that ameriloan was not part of MTE. I think that UsFastCash is also affiliated with MNE as they carried the same address and use the same processor and bank, as their originator. They all are "hiding" out on the reservation and "renting" space, so to speak but there is a different head organization for different groups of PDLs. I guess in the end, they are all doing the same thing. . . taking advantage of the people who are less likely to be able to repay under there terms. I was fortunate in that I was able to get them off my back relatively quickly and for nothing more than what they deposited into my account.
